Yeah, when I switched over the last thing I wanted to do was spend another $2600 on adobe software after just spending more than that on the iMac, so I opted for the new creative cloud system they have. $50/month and access to full versions of everything in the creative suite as long as you subscribe, as a business it's also deductible which is nice..but either way it seemed like the obvious choice as it includes free upgrades as new software comes out as well.
I just started subscribing to that and love it. Had CS4 on my MBP, but have since also built a desktop PC that is significantly more powerful and it sucked not being able to work on it. Plus, since I'm still in school, the lab computers always have the latest CS which meant if I worked on something at school, I couldn't open it on my version at home. Since I was already planning on upgrading to CS6, the cloud thing was perfect. A little more expensive than a student version of Master Collection, but this way I can use it on any computer I need to.
