And no. Anyone with some decent logic can maintain their car extremely inexpensively until it becomes a technological problem like with a fancy BMW, in which case you're rich enough to buy new and not give a ****. Therefor the problem is ultimately negated.
Buy new =/= cost effective in any run.

My dad always buys new because he doesn't want to deal with other people's problems.

Well so does everything. Just buying used good's out weigh its bad. while buying new has its advantages they aren't enough to overpower the price and to overcome buying used.

the way i look at it, the WRX is a fun/sporty car, mainly targeted at the younger age group. I dont want to buy a car that was used/abused by some 18 year old whos mommy bought him a car.
Buying new removes that.
(and no, my mommy and daddy have never bought me a car....both cars were out of my pocket, and so will this one)

I paid 4500 on mine and the engine, trans, and clutch had 15k on it.
(my mom and dad didn't pay for the mustang or the 280zx)
If it were me I would look used and if you see something you like look at it. If it looks good and no problems for a good price go for it. Buying used just seems like spending too much money to lose half the value when I leave.

First for me seems to be an '02 oddyssey minivan with 69,690 miles on it.
Considering I maintained it with dad for years, ****'s minty an I'm stoked to has
But I'm going to get a 2007 Infiniti G35S Coupe with Journey Trim when I have the chance.
Already have enough money to buy 5, just biding for the right time.

naw, not only the G37s.
It was 2005 or 2006-2008 thathad the skyline edition.
Those are so hard to find and are ~$2500 more. Not worth it.
I can have it tuned and get better dampers for less than that and they'd be brand new and better than the ones that come stock on the Skyline setup.

Skylines and R33-R34s were ill.
too ill.
diabetically ill.
Oh, and the R32 and R33 Wagon. Yes. Wagon.
R33 front end, suspension and ECU along with the insides, but put on a wagon chassis.
So imagine a 420WHP TT i6 Super Wagon.
****ing gravel flinging mother****er
I'd gladly shell the $35,000+ necessary.

I want one of those just to **** around with.
I'd murder it out and put super cushy **** everywhere in it, pack it with vibration dampening foam and clean it up.
Drive it around like nothing.
