organizing my first private group, advice?

i'm organizing a small private group for my church in a couple weeks, and looking for advice or tips. i've got the field lined up for a half day. i'm thinking 8-10 games in an afternoon and most newbs will be cooked. group rate includes rentals so we're fine with gear. they allow outside paint and but i'm thinking field paint will be fine for this outing. other than that, i plan on providing a cooler full of water and gatorade.

can't really think of anything else i need to do or plan for. thoughts?

Might look into getting pizza delivered or bring snack food.

Give your people a quick synopsis of what to expect (as far as what to wear).

Some cleats, if they have em, if not, old running shoes. I've actually seen guys roll out to the field first time wearing boat shoes, crocs, new shoes... just let them know they're going to get them dirty lol.
Most paint doesn't stain nowadays, but heed warning some might. I'd stay away from wearing black/really dark clothing if it's hot.

Old hat headband or beanie is nice to keep sweat out the eyes.

You ought to supply a couple rolls of toilet paper or buy a pack of cheap shop towels to wipe off mask lenses. Makes for a bad day not being able to see!

Extra change of socks, always keep a fresh pair for the drive home!

Have fun! Most importantly!

yeah, for sure going to recommend old jeans, long sleeves, and def old shoes. don't want anyone showing up in yoga pants. especially since they're all dudes...

someone showed up in crocs???

roll of shop towels is a good idea. rags seem to get stuff more dirty after the first few uses.

we plan on grabbing dinner afterwards so some sandals and a clean shirt will be on the list.

Got to admit, it would be really funny to see a church buddy running around in yoga pants haha!
