MAC/SEC Class A conference
Please post up if your school is GOING to play class A. When we know who is able to play, we can start discussing dates and places to hold events. We are probably looking at two fall, one spring although that can change as needed. Please let me know asap. Also, if the captain or person running the team could pm me their contact info that would be great.
Schools:
Liberty University
Possibles:
UMD
Temple
Tennessee
KSU
Thanks!
Jason

we are playing! lets try and push for at least 4 in the conference. 3 last year seemed really pointless.

also... we would be open to the idea of traveling a little be more to make 4 teams happen. we just need ample time so that we can budget properly.

Maryland, don't you have travel restrictions?
I agree that a conference of 3 sucked...

Yeah we can only travel to events that are within a 300 miles range around the campus but we definitely would rather play in a sturdy conference of at least 4 teams

So for maryland, a trip to Liberty is possible (196 miles), but Nitro isn't (659 miles).
The trip to PAP would be too much for KSU and UT I'm sure...

we could do pap. honestly we could travel just about anywhere. at the same time it would suck only being able to have 3 total teams at nitro for our home crowd

well if ut could confirm if they are playing and how far they are willing to travel and if we could get some clarity for chris or joe on possible conferences that would be great so we can plan the events out

Tennessee could go to Maryland as long as they can go to Nitro.

I think KSU agrees, but I don't think Maryland is permitted to do that...

reading their post above, they cant go past greensboro,nc. it doesnt seem like there is any other teams that could join to make travel fair to everyone. obviously it would be nice if maryland didnt have travel restrictions

Maryland has a HARD 300 mile limit. Can't go outside that limit at all. So if they were to play your conference, your events would all need to be within 300 miles of Maryland's campus.

We would really like to have an event at Nitro, so this would be a big negative for us. If Mario hadn't gone through all the trouble setting up the field and just finished running air to both pits pretty much just for NCPA we wouldn't have a problem with it.

I understand where KSU is coming from, I agree Nitro is an awesome location and KSU and Tenn both deserve to have an event close to home...
I also understand Maryland's travel rule, although as a Maryland Alumni, I think it is stupid...
So we have a few options...
OPTION #1: KSU, LU, and UT play two events again this year. At Liberty and Nitro.
OPTION #2: KSU, LU, UT, and Maryland play three events together at places within Maryland's 300 mile limit.
OPTION #3: KSU, LU, UT, and Maryland play two events together within the 300 zone, and then KSU, LU, and UT play a third event at Nitro.
OPTION #4: KSU, LU, and UT find another team closer or able to travel.
OPTION #5: No SEC conference. Leaving teams to play Cup and/or Nationals only.
Thoughts?

I would say we prefer 3 or 4. Option 5 wouldn't really work for us because we have several players playing on different teams in different divisions.

Ut would not be opposed to doing option #3. Would that mean that Maryland gets all of their season matches in the first two events? Then UT, KSU, and Liberty spread theirs out over the three with the last ones at Nitro?

i dont see another team jumping into the fold. option 3 sounds to be the most reasonable for each school. the 3 schools would have their matches spread out while umd could play their matches in 2 events.
