If that were true they'd have never stopped making it. It didn't sell well, and while I liked mine they weren't without their issues. The actual working mechanical parts were fine, but the shells were weak and prone to cracking, and the feedneck was in an absolutely terrible position for using a hopper with any kind of weight to it (read; any force feed or agitated loader).

The G-1 is doing fine, and there really isn't any need to bring back the SP-8.

If you really want an SP-8, I know someone locally that is selling one. PM me for details.

This^,Ive got 3 myself,i reinforced the body and cut the feednecks 1 ball length,1 also has a drummag.I like them for their uniqueness but I doubt theyll rerun them, hope they do a g36 instead of the ugly XM8 body

My uncle had one for a bit. It's an Ion in fancy clothes. The issue I know he had with it was troubleshooting quickly at the field. Because of the body, it made it impossible to quickly repair anything. If it went down, it was done for the day till he got it home to dismantle it.

All it takes to break it down is two push pins (one for front shroud one for rear stock.. an aa philips head screw driver to remove two screws from the rear body hidden under rear stock and an allen key.. can break it down in less than five minutes..
