what is cycle filter?

i read the manual and i dont understand what it does... it says its to buffer shots.. what does it mean? does it slow down the cycle of the bolt? does it delay the response from when i pull the trigger to when the solenoid actuates? i would test the settings to tell first hand, but i dont have air or paint at the moment. can anyone help me understand what the cycle filter setting does in layman's terms?

The way I read it is that it will store the shot in memory if you pull the trigger and actuate the microswitch at a time when the gun is unable to fire a ball (which would typically be when it's already firing a ball). This way, as soon as the gun is able to fire a ball it will use that shot that's already been stored from your prior trigger pull.

The manual says 0% makes it feel the most responsive so I'm wondering if 0% is the highest buffer setting and 100% is the lowest since I would assume the largest range (in ms i'm sure) to buffer a shot would be the most aggressive since it would always be ready to fire a ball due to that stored trigger pull.

I'm just listing how I'm deciphering it, I could be way off.

Hmm, I read it as basically the time-frame that the microswitch has to be depressed for. This is a darn good question.

It smooths your streams out to be consistent instead of sporadic.

so what i'm understanding is that if i pull the trigger in an uneven rhythm, the board will count how many times i pulled the trigger and just actuate the solenoid in an even rhythm.... so it seems that if i used uncapped semi, it would slow it down a bit for eveness' sake. am i correct on this?
