New A5 or used X7?

Trying to decide on a new gun. I was almost set on the A5 since the phenom is so expensive. I was at a shop earlier and the guy has a used X7(original), not sure how old it is, and it has a replaced power tube. He wants $140. It looks okay besides some dirty screws and the gun could use a wash. Should I get the used X7 or get a new A5? Either gun will get an e-grip put on. My only other gun was a Custom ProE and that was about 5 years ago.

I'd go with the X7, but that's just me. It's a little more upgradeable, doesn't really have as many problems with field stripping, and also (so I've heard) is a little better on air. More pointable, more rails for foregrips and such, and lighter than the A5.

You wouldn't worry about it being used?

There isnt much that cannot be fixed easily on a tippmann

I would say the X7 since you can get it used and its pretty much the same as an A-5 except lighter and has a upgraded cyclone system.

The A-5 is good as well ultimately its up to you theres thousands of mods between the two of them and you would be happy with both.

Is this the original X7 or a Phenom?

Either way, the A5 is more of an SMG platform where the original X7 is more Rifle-y. The X7 Phenom fits both.

I would go for a new A5 then. The old X7 has the same internals so youre really just getting a used A5.

Except that air flow is much better on the X7 and there are more mods available for the x7. Personally I run with an X7 and love it. I had an a-5 and liked it too but still prefer my x7..... oh and don't buy the phenom version. My a-5 is better then the phenom.
