He FINALLY gets back to me and totally negates the fact i offered him more than he's asking for the gun back, then goes on to mentioning he has my tank and that he's gonna put it up on ebay, which is fine, it's all i really wanted since i have all the pieces to recreate the gun anyway... So i work out a best offer situation over ebay and made mention i wouldn't be able to pay till friday...

eBay ****ing blows. I know that much. Not much more tho!!

He cannot relist it and sell it within 4 days. You have to sign off on the cancelation of the sale. You could file a grievance with the eBay cust. Service.

2001 I would have been shooting my SL-68II. I played a bunch that year, kind of doing a tour of fields around the state hoping to jump start more pump play. That was a fun year.

Yep, that's about it. It's time spent around the industry that's exposed me to everyone. It's been fun so far.

Every year except one. We skipped LL4 and had our little staff outing that year at Sherwood. Really, I'm a nobody as far as paintball is concerned. I'm not going to self-promote with some web videos and claim it makes me someone who's "paintball famous", or blog my angst about one aspect of the sport and think it makes me noteworthy. That's just not me. It seems to work for some people, and they go up on stage and wave to the crowd, and then they're just another body in the masses once the game start. Besides, I'd rather not have the notoriety, and having "I shot Pump Scout" become something anyone's proud of, or having extra people gunning for me. I figure my Mod Squad jersey does that enough.

Well the more I look into making a comeback, the less enticing it is...speedball in our area seems to have all but kicked the bucket

Why did I wait so long??

In all honesty soul, it really wouldn't make a difference where/when you made a comeback... paintball just isn't what it used to be before the recession... and even before then it was hauling *** in a downward spiral.

I'd suggest getting into big games in your area and see if you can hook up with some local woodsballers for your paintballing needs. Ultimately it may not be as fast paced, but you will have more fun having less douchebags to deal with in a 150x250 field...

I never intended to get back into tourney play, just too much $ for what you get out of it. Was just hoping to play pickup speedball games and larger practices.

I wonder now if the sport was in decline even before I left, and our area was so isolated (and numbers so large) that we never noticed it?

I play airsoft (oh ****, don't let that funny talkin fella see that) so I get the need to "play army" out of my system that way haha.

I'm actually looking to go back to tournament type play rather than the big games. It's not that much fun to have 50 guns on you when you make a move. At least if there's only 3/5/7/10, I know what I'm in for. And frankly, I've found more cheating, wiping, whining, and douchebaggery on scenario fields than on tournament fields.

Good reffing keeps cheats down in tourneys- I like keeping em honest. I walked off the indoor field twice after getting shot without breaks. Just how I play.

LIKE A *****!

:dodgy :

Pump you gonna play nppl I take it? The bigger bunkers and more of them (less lane blockers) make it much easier to creep for G s and not have to be in rockstar athlete shape. My team is looking like playing d4 5 man at HB 13. Entry is only $700. Should make for an affordable national tournament.

Also what position you gonna play?

I reffed the MR Series (was the biggest western Canadian league) for a season.

Man, that **** was almost as fun as playing. We looooved making a show out of penalties and catching cheaters. I had a foam baseball bat with bandanas tied to it and I'd "homerun" people with it (point it up and towards the dead box like I was gonna "knock one outta the park").

I'll play local events first before I jump into a national level event. I'm just shy of 40, so I'd definitely be in the back. Once I've got the tournament rust knocked off, I might look at doing something in the Masters Division of PSP in 2014. I'll turn 40 just before the season wraps up, and I'm not funded well enough to make the run to World Cup.

I'd still love to do some UWL events, too. Those look like a ton of fun.

That's hope and change in action, gents.

I actually had to take change in today for "folding money" to get supper tonight. Good thing payday is, theoretically, tomorrow. Hopefully BMO Harris and their buyout of M&I Bank don't FUBAR our direct deposit.

Heh, BTDT. Got five of my own. Fortunately, our youngest is now 8, so it's getting better.

We should get together sometime to shoot people.

Yeah, it'll be a while before things get better on our end. Oh well, its worth it for the most part.

We'll definitely have to do that. Next spring and its a date.
