I must admit that the 350z is a very bland car. It`s also slower than it should be and sounds like crap with even the nicest of exhuast systems.

we had this crazy russian who in AIT took a 350z dropped a **** ton of money then broke onto the flight line and shot down the flightline with a f16 as it was taking off. funny as ****. i felt bad for the other yellow Z on base that got swarmed with cops after he hauled *** off the post lol

ok so after rethinking everything.... I want a car that I can enjoy in the twisties, makes respectable power in the straights (does not have to be the fastest kid on the block) and still be able to put the kids in the back and cruise (will not be primary transport). in my mind a M3 or M5 would be perfect but I don't have the cash to spend on a M3 or M5. so it looks like we are looking at improving the suspension and beefing up the motor. motor wise I think its time that I have another turbo car. you are the e36 man so weigh in on what you think.

Bang for the buck the e36 is a hard car to beat handling wise.

The cool thing about that car is you can find upgrades from other BMW models if your junk hard savy on the cheap.

For building a proper sports car you always start with the chassis first. Infact you'll probably find while building the chassis up that twisty roads are so much fun, that you don't need gobs of POWA!!

do you want budget minded or racecar!! If race car go to bimmerworld.com.

If budget car start with bilstien sport shocks in m3 fitment and add hr oe sport springs. Replace every bushing in the car with something from the M parts bin, and reinforce that rear like I said earlier. For good handling find a 3.23 LSD from an m3. Also grab a 25mm front bar from a 328is and a 20mm rear bar from an m3. Of course PFC Z rated pads and a great tire. Right now I have conti extreme contact DW's. LOVE THEM. only tire I would even be interested in trying over them would be a michellin super sport. For my car I found a 16x7 rim with a 225/50/16 tire to be optimal. I don't like over tiring a car. Let me know when you want to start talking alignment.

That set up is similar to mine, wont feel like a racecar but will handle amazingly for a arrestable DD. My passion is twisty roads. I owned a muscle car (gto) and they arnt that cool. Racing stop light to stop light is for kids. Real men actually know how to drive.

Nah, it's just that huge "ARC" throws off the curves of the front end... I much prefer the guards that wrap around the headlight assemblies...

Wolf, how did it keep you from rolling on the front end? were you rock climbing or something? lol
