The reason I'm interested in the trade is because I hate how the axe feels in hands. DM with the UL frame are the polar opposite, which is why iv always wanted to give one a try.
I'm not a big fan of the UL frame, but the DM7 is regarded as one of the best up to the m9-m11 gen.
The M7 was the last before the guns were sent to taiwan.
The M7 is also the lightest and smallest of ALL the DMs. Even the DM12. Truth.
That being said, it also had some of the best quality control/standards and has eye covers and still has the eye pipe at the same time.
Other than that, I've shot Bwinged/Eigenringed and SAM'd/Eigenringed DM7s and they were unbelievably smooth, efficient and consistent shooters. Honestly. I think the SAM'd/Eigen'd one was pulling something like 1700 off a 68/45 and had less vibration and kick than a pooty engine'd luxe 1.5, which is pretty awesome IMHO.
It beat most of my shockers, that's for sure, but I guess it's fair to say it beat them all since it's much lighter than the one that it was barely kickier over... if that made any grammatical sense.
I think the Aardvark matrices, DM7 and DM11 were the only ones worth getting... in addition to the STDM5... at any point in time... preferably once they dip under $500 a pop, which most of them have already.
