Help!

I just got an A1 and I'm not too familiar with these markers. It is leaking air out of the back and the previous owner said he thinks its the solenoid seal but I just wanna make sure I dont need a new solenoid. What do yall think?

Well with out knowing exactly where the air is leaking from we can't exactly diagnose the problem for you. Is it leaking from the back near the frame? noid cover? Backplate? Have you tried removing the back plate and noid cover and making sure the seal is there and in tact as well as greased?

It is leaking behind the back plate near the noid cover. I did check and it looks fine to me but it still leaks. And when I tried to fire it, it just made a psh psh noise. Kinda like the same noise a DM makes when the bolt is stuck forward. Is that related to the same thing?

You might want to check the solenoid gasket and make sure it is oriented correctly. If it's backwards it'll block the air ports to the ram and the gun will not fire.

Make sure to grease the solenoid gasket thoroughly when you reinstall it, and tighten the solenoid clamp screw hand-tight. Any tighter you risk damaging the solenoid housing, any looser and it is likely to leak.

Checked all of that and it looks right to me.

LPR would be second most likely culprit followed by ram. If you can isolate the leak more closely that would help you determine the exact source of the leak.

I'm pretty sure it's coming from the solenoid area. Where can I get a new solenoid gasket?

Not sure if one comes in the A1 seal pack or not. I don't think it does though. In which case, your best bet would be to contact Bob at www.fixmyangel.com or Jay at www.pbsports.com and see if they can scrounge one up for you - they don't have any listed at their respective websites.

If you can't find one anywhere, you can use a liquid gasket product from an automotive parts store to make one yourself using your current gasket as a template.
