Thumbs down Joe Biden plays the race card

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=Q1PVOIqQAns

Another remarkable comment from Jo Biden, playing to skin color, and trying to induce fear where there isn't any. ****ing *******.

By far the worst comment made so far in the presidential election. I hope Paul Ryan calls him out on this and asks Joe why the left likes to pretend there is racism where there isn't any.

Just from watching the clip, it doesn't sound at all like he was referring to race. In fact, I'm pretty sure that he was speaking regarding income/tax inequality. And, '"back in chains" can be presumed to be referring to going back to the Bush era of economic policy.

Edit: Watched again, and he says the big banks are going to be "unchained" by Romney (Romney's wording), likely referring to deregulation. But to go back to how the Banks we able to operate under Republican Bush leadership, can be said to keep the customers of Big Banks "in chains." Big banks control our individual wealth, homes, and much of the nation's economy. Without being regulated properly, the Banks can take advantage of customers and go unchecked in doing so. I think that was Biden's point.

Maybe I missed something though...

"put you back in chains" = back in chains, days of slavery.

The only one who might be pathetic, is you if you don't see the analogy. Apparently almost everyone else does, except for you two and the far left folks of PBN: Politics. Nice. Shocked

He was also talking to a mostly black audience.

Biden's known to be a racist prick:

Just like Harry Reid (sorry for subjective everybody to the View):

Perfect match for Barack Ocrackhead who's most likely been "doing a little blow" nonstop since he got into the white house.

Racists, crooks, and crackheads all of them.

More like they openly admit to either not knowing what Biden was talking about, or deliberately pretending to think it was something else because seeing the democrats race bait again is not good.

And the point you were making is not lost on me, but it is not quite the same thing.

It really is amazing at the lengths some on the left will go in this Presidential election to avoid talking about serious topics and instead make over the top statements. Enjoyed Jonathan Tobin's mention on this:

"Ryan Unleashes Liberal Incivility"

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/20...biden-slavery/

Quote:
...While Democrats may defend this as just another Biden exaggeration, this is a clear-cut case of racial incitement. After all, unless he is referring to Jews being returned to slavery some 3,500 years after the Exodus from Egypt, the only possible allusion here is to the enslavement of African Americans in the south. This is more than just garden-variety political hyperbole. It is an unfortunate example of just how desperate Democrats are to scare voters into backing the president’s re-election.

We can expect Democratic spin masters to excuse this as merely Joe being Joe, the crazy uncle of our political system whose excesses should be tolerated if not smiled at. But what is on display in this video is a willingness to demonize opponents that eclipses the routine nastiness we’ve become accustomed to during elections. Biden’s comment is at the level of 9/11 truther–let alone an Obama birther. But this is more than just another example of how hypocritical mainstream liberal complaints are about civility in politics.

The Biden blast shows that in this election, there is literally nothing to which the Obama campaign would not stoop in order to besmirch their opponents. If, as Seth wrote earlier today, liberals are prepared to call Romney and Ryan “murderers,” why wouldn’t they claim the GOP is in favor of slavery?...

lol at your refusal to accept reality. He spoke directly to blacks when he said it. He used the reference "back in chains", which is clearly referring to slavery, as there's been no other time when people were in chains in this country, particularly the ones in his audience. You're carrying water for him for some reason and that's fine, but don't blatantly deny the obvious.

And he chose to use a slavery analogy to talk about it. Not that hard to understand.
