I like them, I use them like concussion grenades. Also been getting several direct impact kills with my Betty and its still unexplored for the next person to find.
Learn the maps, like in every other multiplayer shooter, and you'll find that you get surprised far less often. It's not that hard. I've only been playing for a few days and already I have good idea of the patterns people follow when moving around a map so I know the spots to look. You say you are "good" at games, then surely you realize that learning the maps and situational awareness is just as important as shooting the other better than he shoots you.
As for perks, as drex said, they work. Taking away gun handling perks in favor of weapon attachments, as well as splitting up many perks and using the Pick 10 system actually balances them pretty well. They also tweaked many of the perks people used to cheese. Ghost now only hides you from UAVs while you move. If you stop moving, you will show up on radar. I also think you grossly overestimate the amount of people who use headsets while playing this in pub matches. I would almost say its probably the opposite of your estimation and closer to 90% of people don't use headsets though that too is probably an exaggeration.
The part about taking too many bullets to kill someone is a good thing. It makes it possible to get into a gun fight and live, rethink tactics and kill them a better way than just running straight at each other. It makes the game less about who shoots first wins. Again, a full mag to kill is an exaggeration. Even with a few of the SMGs I can kill 2-3 players with a mag.
Anyway, as I said, you were spouting opinion of the game and because YOU don't like it you claimed that the game was terrible and catered to bad players. As if your opinion is the end all be all decider of gamedom. Not liking the game is fine. Claiming that those who do like it are some how inferior is just ludicrous. It's definitely a different game than COD4. There is more to keep track of in any given game and that can be confusing or at least a turn off to some, but I think it's completely manageable. If you don't like it, just don't play it. If you we're so unhappy with all the games since COD4, I don't understand why you bought it in the first place. It's not like they didn't have plenty of news coverage detailing what was going to be in the game before it ever came out.
The maps are easy to learn. It's not about being surprised far less often, it's about the fact that people (like the one who keeps posting videos here) have a million places to hid or climb on to kill people who are actually playing the game.
Taking away gun handling perks in favor of weapon attachments actually adds to the amount of advantages a player can now have. The pick 10 system is going to allow people to use Lightweight, Extreme Conditioning, Ghost, and Dead Silence all at once. That's not exactly a good thing. The new ghost perk is one of the good thing they have done with this game. The problem is when you're climbing up things or capturing points in domination, you're visible on the radar. It needs to be tweaked. If you're claiming that 10% of players use a headset, you know much less about Call of Duty than I thought. Headsets now are so common they're sold in Best Buy, WalMart, Radio Shack, etc. It's a part of playing the game now and has almost completely replaced the traditional bluetooth headset.
I like the idea of getting into a gun fight but it should take half of a 42 bullet clip to kill a player when one shot from a KSG long barrel can kill someone from half way across the map. That gun is going to be the new version of the models. This is something Treyarch has always struggled with.
My opinion is obviously my opinion. The fact that they are catering this game (and every game since COD4) to bad players is blatant. That is what makes sense for the company, they will sell many more copies that way. I bought the game because I don't really play video games and figured I'd give it a shot. It's currently the only game I own. I am always hopeful that at some point they will create a much better product. Who knows, maybe Infinity Ward can finally do it again next time around.

It all depends on what model you buy. Some are made differently than others.

People want a better product. Most of those who don't whine are the bad players they're catering to.

The PX21s have a smaller earpiece than other models like the X31 or 41.

Hate them. They're just another crutch for terrible players to lean on. They allow players to camp harder. You can now camp with two shock charges and two bouncing bettys or claymores if you'd like. Not to mention the fact that they can be stuck to the walls and ceilings as well as the floor.
They are awesome but I've noticed a lot of people, including myself using tactical mask. I never used them to camp (I ****ing hate camping) I would mainly use them if I was chasing someone or something like that. They're nice if you play objective type games
Yea...naming Carriers after Presidents is not uncommon at all.

You didnt even use the MMS's abilities. You camped and looked down a street.
And even could have possibly prevented your death if you used it properly.
P.S.
I will have my youtube gaming channel up and running by the new year.
No camping, legit gameplays. I might even try my hand at codcasting GB
matches!
