Quick answer.

Quick answer, then delete thread please. Guys I'm reassembling the green Shoebox right now and need an answer. There is a gummy residue on the board and solenoids. What I need to know is if it is dielectric grease or paint splatter. Its pink and clear. Due to the location I *think* its dielectric grease but I want to know 100% before I clean it off and re-apply fresh grease.

Its shocker lube/sl33k the old pink stuff. I picked up a shoebox a week ago myself and it had the same thing. I need to find some parts for mine though

Excellent, thanks much. The solenoid is good, I just wired that to a 9v. These markers are actually complete, shouldn't have to find any parts to get the running. I'll have this one back together in an hour or so, I'm wire brushing all the screws before I thread them back into the body.
