Seventh Element, Redine, or Virtue OLED
Taking price into consideration, which of these upgrades is best, also taking into consideration the battery life of these. Please only comment if you have used more than one of these or all of them (preferably).

Redine.
Better screen placement & brighter screen, easy installation, ridiculously simple to use menu structure, 3 seperate configuration profiles, is made by the same company that makes your gun (always a plus, they were designed for one another).

Is the redline REALLY worth double the virtue and TRIPLE the seventh element board? I can't imagine it being that much easier to use to make me spend 3 times as much money.

Well, that's just it. Either you have the money and don't mind spending for the best, or you don't. It's your choice. Some people buy Lamborghinis and others buy Hondas.

I look at it like some people buy nice wheels for their cars, and some people buy wheels that are worth the same as their car. They both work the same but one is outrageous and the other is reasonable.
When a redline costs more than I paid for my marker I can't justify a 15% easier to operate interface.

Well, have fun sticking a dim screen to a plastic battery door then lol
Look this guy even has trouble with his. The Redline just slides onto the gun and works.

I'm just being the devils advocate. The Redline is cost prohibitive for most people and doesn't add enough functionality over the other boards to justify the cost. If you can afford it and want to piss away the $250 go for it.

I purchased a seventh element board in May of this year. Only yesterday did i actually get a board installed in my axe that actually worked. NO JOKE. Between receiving one board with a cracked screen, one that was shipped back to me and didn't last through the install, I have gone through 3 boards to get one that worked. Redline is worth the extra money, hands down. buy it, slide it on, done.

I've had the 7th element board for the last 6 months and haven't had a single issue. It's also really easy to program.

7th element is always my first option. an oled screen for about 70 bucks? thats awesome!! it has profiles just like the redline and it pretty much a cheaper version of the virtue, and while it might not be as easy to install, i dont mind for the money im saving

I don't have any of the boards yet but I can say after doing my research the Redline board is going going to be your best bet. That's what I'm getting when I have enough plasma money saved up. I guess it comes down to how much you want to spend. I checked out the virtue and read reviews on it and some people don't like were the screen is at. Feels weird in the hands. On the other hand the Redline has a different milling on it. In the front it has a groove that some people don't like and the finger indents as well. My local shop had a axe set up with the Redline and I checked out how it would feel and it dosent bother me one bit. The 7th element board....I don't know. Some Luke it some don't. I wouldn't trust it because of how cheap it is. Like I said it comes down to how much you want to spend. The only difference between the redline and virtue program is that the virtue has de-bounce. Were you pull the trigger and it shoots and when you let go it fires again. That's the only thing that's different in the programing for the redline and virtue. There's my 2 cents. Lol

Wrong. The Redline has debounce settings.

Response mode? My Redline says "Debounce" in the menu. No idea what Response Mode is.

Also not sure how people judge without owning something. Also saying something is cheap means it's no good is ridiculous. With that theory in mind the axe sucks compared to all guns priced higher.

Response is for the pull of the trigger and the release counts as a shot.

Sorry, not trying to say your axe sucks or anything. That's the only one I haven't tried out yet. If someone has it ill give it a try. I was just saying since there are 2 other boards out there that are close to price I'm going to go for one of them. But yes you can't judge a book by its cover, and I guess ill give it a try. The other 2 are great this one can be too. Sorry again if you thought I was saying your axe is crappier then mine or anyone else....I wasn't trying to and I don't think that at all.

I knew you weren't directly attacking my axe. It was just you calling it cheap as in the board and therefore was inferior to the others. I'm not saying the redline isn't a great board but I can buy 3 board 7th element boards for one redline. It's all preference in paintball. Also add a little on the 7th element actually comes with an aluminum door and glass screen. There is no plastic.
