So here's my latest issue with my tank. Since I adjusted my lighting schedule the tank goes dark now at 8pm. My fish seem to love the dark and get very active. My Blue Spotted Jawfish can be heard jumping at the water surface. Since he's my wifes favorite fish she was concerned about him landing on the floor. We have canopy on top of the tank but it is open on top except for the conduit I used to mount the lighting. We thought we had the proper solution to this. We went Lowes and bought that white plastic grating used in flourescent lighting. I cut it down to the size needed to fit it where the hood would normally go. It sat just under the lights and didnt leave any shadows. The next morning my jawfish had jumped about an inch and half high and made it thru a half inch hole in the grating. He laid on top of the grating unable to get back in the tank and died. How ironic ? My most expensive fish ($100) has great accuracy !! Well now Ive bought more grating and moved it above the lighting but still inside the canopy. So if they want to escape they have to jump at least 4 inches and hit a half inch hole. Heres a pic of what it looks like now.

Finally started putting a couple of fish in my tank. I had my water levels tested last night and everything looked good, so I went ahead and bought 2 mollies. After a few days I am going to test the levels again and get either 2 or 3 neon tetras or a Dwarf Gourami.

I have lost a few fish do to my tank not having a lid or canopy as well. Good idea on how to solve the problem tho!

looking to sell a saltwater setup
I have a 55 or 75 gallon tank, can't remember which, with a stand and everything except the live rock and salt to start a saltwater tank that I need to get rid of. Just never got around to it. Everything is new in the package except the tank, it's been a few years since it has been used but is in great shape. The tank and stand are Oceanic. I have a coral reef light (coralife deluxe 48" 260watt), master test kit, several kinds of foods, four submersible powerheads, a protein Skimmer, aquaclear 110 power filter and spare parts, a hydrometer, the full line of Kent supplements and some random stuff. Cash only, no trades.

i am having a minor crisis right now. my anubia in my 20gal went from looking better than ever to wilted and clear leaves over night. first it was just the one now it is all of them in there and i have no idea why. my power head also started making a funny noise. there have been more pond snails than usual but they saw no change when i had a major MTS and pond snail explosion a few months ago. my levels are all normal too. i clipped some of the leaves that started to rot. i am at a loss, honestly, and i really do not want to lose them as they were pretty large and established
