2012 alien invasion HELP

Hello nation i just got an 2012 alien invasion in a trade and its leaking down the bolt champer alot and its not fireing!

wat could i do to fix it?? thanks!!

i would contact who you got it from, If they didnt mention it was broken its their responsibility to pay for you to get it working again or to return your gun to you as well as pay to get theirs shipped back

Definitely contact the seller about it.

Id also call Jack directly at the shop to get the problem diagnosed. You can find the number on his website www.alienpb.com. He also posts here a few times a week but in this case I would call because the longer you wait the harder it will be to get this resolved.

This is the Jack Rice express line as he usually picks up. if he does not, just ask for him.

I would not gas the marker up until you have talked to jack, it kind of sounds like air is bypassing the LPR and if that is the case, your solenoid is at risk.

I was the seller. The marker shipped working and I have a video to prove it. I told him to try and turn the marker on first, then air it up, as he didn't in his video text. I also tol him he may have to adjust he LPR as he told me he's using a LP tank and I have a HP

tank output wont effect where the lpr needs to be set.. not that drastically if at all.

Not sure what else he could try other than turning the marker on first, then airing it up. Like I said, I made a shooting vid just for him. And after seeing it, he agreed to trade

no one is pointing fingers. These guns dont just break, usually user error.

In this case, i would turn the hpr down a little bit and turn the lpr in all the way (and by IN i mean lower the pressure all the way, i think the Invasion might go counterclockwise to drop the pressure READ THE MANUAL!)

with the lpr at 0psi, i would push the bolt forward and then air up the marker. slowly turn the lpr pressure up until the bolt returns to its back position. See if it fires with eyes off.

It shouldnt just leak down the bolt but sometimes guns do funny things until you shoot them once or twice.

and the marker is basically new. as long as the first owner was telling the truth, between me and him, there is less than a case of paint shot threw it in total

i will call him and i said i think i have a lp tank it might be a hp tank and i will call jack and try turning the gun on and the airing it up

i turned down the lpr all the way down and it is still leaking from the bolt

i tryed all everytihg and nothign worked i emailed jack about it and such and i dont belive its a user error by me casue i attached my prophecy hopper and my 68/45 pe tank and turn the gun on and tried to fire it. also jack said its 60/an hour for them to work on it pluse return shipping i do not belive its fair for me to have to pay for it when all i did was try to test fire the gun.

when you say you turned it down, you brought it to 0psi, right? I cant remember if the invasion lpr goes clockwise or counterclockwise to lower the lpr pressure.

in my eyes, if the lpr is set to 0psi, then air should not reach the ram. the bolt should stay still and not move forward.

if air is leaking from the valve, it might sound like it is coming out of the breach.. but the valve leaking is highly unlikely unless someone pulled the valve pin out and nicked the cup seal?

Its nice having an alien because tomorrow morning you can call the designer of the gun and talk to him about it. Noone will know better than jack

edit: emailing is a hard way to fix a gun. Call him tomorrow and see if he can walk you through a fix if possible. He is a busy guy so he does charge to fix a gun that is used (remember, you did not buy it new from Alien) but he is more than willing to talk to you on the phone about it. He would rather help you fix it your self before having you send it to him. These guns are hard to screw up.

have you checked the oring on the rammer? Their is one on the ram cap and one on the ram its self. These two orings just require a little bit of grease to keep them sealed and do not require service on a regular basis. I find it hard to believe that one of them would be damaged and not sealing properly.

I think the oring on my indy ram is the original oring from 09.

There are several videos on YouTube going over the whole gun. Take the eye cover off - so you don't cut the eye wires. Then - after removing the front grip - take the back screw out and loosen the front screw (you can take it out) twist the gun body so that you can see the area below the cup seal. Tighten the front screw, then while holding the ram firmly to the body - air up the gun.
Find the leak.
Fix the leak.
Check that the Cup Seal Body isn't in backwards.

Check that the set screw is holding the Cup Seal and it hasn't slipped forward.
For the gun not to fire something big has happened, usually because someone wanted to check out the Cup Seal body - see how the Sweep works.

can an issue like this be caused during shipping? something possible rattled loose? i never took the marker apart while it was in my possession, mainly because i didn't have a need to. the maker was working fine

ok ill try that when i get air tonight. but i think its not fireing becasue there is not enough air pressure. when i aired it up 1 shot come out but it was at very slow.
