I completely agree with you voodoo. there was hardly any stand stills. we were constantly gaining ground, and then retreating from counter strikes from the german mechanized! man those tanks give a whole new meaning to psychological warfare.
also want to give props to the Refs. they did an awesome job running into heated gun battles to do their paint checks. (side note: I want to say no disrespect to any refs who may have called me out for previous paint splatters, its hard to tell where all the new and old paint splatters were because there was so many of them! lol.)
still some refs should try and use a little more common sense when you see someone is completely in cover with hardly any resistance around, you shouldnt call them out unless you actually see a paintball hit them, but I already know thats just how it goes so still no hard feelings.
I would have to say I have two very fond memories that stick out from this weekend....watching our left flank break through and pile on the castle wall at the end of the day. Boosting people threw the windows and climbing the stairs inside and out shooting people upstairs from the cooridors. that was an amazing siege that ultimately gave us the victory.
my second memory was from the very beginning of the battle around 1pm, the city in between empire and tippmann castles. Clearing out that village house by house only to be driven back by a tank and scores of infantry moments later when they counter attacked! We fell back into the middle structure in the center of the village, with the tank parked right out in front of us. he pinned us down as the infantry advanced. Every time I peaked my head out I could see the scores of germans advancing towards us on both flanks! We held off the attack for as long as we could but ultimately that tank cleared out the whole building upstairs and down and the infantry finished us off taking the city back.
all that is left to say is, thank you to our commanders as always Chef your the man. what a weekend. what a weekend.
