What servers do you guys play on? I found a private hive with 3 servers (thelaughingman is the name), but it frequently has lag problems and at least once a day I spawn in debug plains and lose all my items. Every server I join has some bull**** settings like spawning with an MP5 or 350 helicopters on the map. Just looking for a normal server but private hive.
Dayz Dallas Madness are very fun servers, they have like 8 servers I think? Tons of vehicles 1400+ more buildings and barracks and fire houses, easy to gear up and have fun on AKA kill a lot of people.
I ended up with the BMRF servers. Pretty normal starting items and vehicles, with a few added things like a barracks and fire station at the NEAF. They even have a first person only server which is awesome.
Currently ive been playing Wasteland. Its basically DayZ without the zombies, basically all the weapons and vehicles (tons of vehicles) from regular arma, so like HMV's, SUVs all that good stuff. You can choose to be independent or either op team and choose your role. (medic, engineer, etc.) There are side missions you can head to that teams can battle for that, which can reward you with rare gear or vehicles like helis and armored cars and such. You can setup bases move them around, heal people if your a medic, repair cars if your an engineer and also buy things with the money you can get from killing people in the general or gun store.
Dont think you even need to download anything for it if you want to try just run the beta and search wasteland or just use Play With Six and dont select a mod just search wasteland. (dont think Dayzcommander works)
Really fun game if you like PVP cause there are many bases each team sets up which are good for group raids, been playing with my group for about a week now and have yet to see a hacker. Also play on the Ranger Squad server which is normally always full with no lag so its lots of fun.
Graphics definitely look much nicer, especially the character models. Hopefully that UI font is only temporary . Still, looks like its shaping up really nicely. The new swamp area looks cool.
The game does look a lot less clunky as far as movement goes. Very nice to see. Nothing like going through a market just to get stuck between a couple of shelving units you should be able to easily squeeze through
I really just want an improved inventory system, easy maneuverability (around and between objects as well as ladders), and more fearful zombies. Everything else would be fine. Very happy to see the new loot spawning techniques they're using. Love it.
