What tank regulator do you have in mind?
factory dwell is 12ms with the stock bolt. The Techt can handle low dwells like 8ms. your best bet is to run it at 12ms for a case or two and then drop it to 10ms and see how it handles it.
Once the marker is well broken in, you can properly tune the dwell.
1) Set the dwell to 8ms
2) crono to 285fps
3) increase dwell by 1ms (9ms total dwell)
4) does the fps increase? If yes, add another 1ms of dwell.
5) keep adding 1ms of dwell until the fps stops increasing. Once it stops, back off the dwell by 1ms.
also, make sure your ABS dwell is turned off to avoid getting improper results. Once you are tuned, you can turn abs back on if you prefer.
that will get you the smoothest most consistent shot. you might be able to run the dwell lower than whatever you end up with, but the marker might not shoot as nice but efficiency may increase.
Side effects of too low a dwell would be bad consistency. Consistency can really hurt your accuracy if it is bad enough. This is why i prefer to get the best consistency and smoothest shot.
