If my team is playing div.3 5-man and were and all our points put us in the D2 ranking, How will that affect us if we move into into the race to format next year?

(ex) I have 1049 points, that would make me Div-2 in the Race format. Since im in 5-man stay D3 the highest division possible for PSP 5-man. If I tried to play D3 Race-2-4 Would i be ranked d2?

As far as your player classification goes, you would be classified as a Division 2 player (given your example of ending the year with 1049 points) regardless of the division you play in. Your team should compete in the division that your roster of players would allow you to compete in. I.E. if your everyone on your team is promoted to D2, you would be ineligible to compete in Division 3 or lower (RaceTo-2 and RaceTo-4). If only a few of your players are classified as D2 after the year, you may be able to compete in D3 if your roster meets the classification limits provided in the PSP rulebook.

In paintballers terms you have been APPAed... You have be forced out of r2 or 5man and force in to D2 xball.. Good luck it is a huge jump.

Points earned in five man are no different than xball. (I think that's a mistake). You're into d2 x now. Good luck with that. Huge jump in talent

Note, of course, that we always make adjustments to the classification system each off-season.

Into d3 xball, sure. But d2 xball? That's a rough transition.
Chris have you guy ever thought about making d3/d4 5 man where the score are 66-75% of their xball counter parts. With a situation like this it would leave the teams in d3, but high into it so that if they do see xball success it can push them into it the next year.
