That is a very good point. It seems to me that is APPA isn't going to be followed to the letter, without discrepancy, then why use it?

I'm still looking forward to the event, but some food for thought for the coming seasons. There's no point in having rules if they can be changed on a whim.

Well I guess players can choose for themselves if they want to play. This only makes it for the competition to be greater.

This was a change that the field owner and I both thought would be best for the last event since there has only been a few teams in the rookie. I believe Dan had done this in the past based on what the field owner and promoter agreed on. Its not a drastic change a small minor change...

Not trying to bust your balls dude, the last event I went to was great (far better than most local events that I have attended, and I have been to a lot) and I'm sure this one will be awesome as well. I understand your reasons, and I look forward to stiffer competition, however some less experienced players may not agree. Just getting some discussion going, I know it seems nit-picky and I'm sorry that I came across so negatively.

Scruggs I know your not, I was just simply stating the reason for the change. And Richard this would allow you to add Josiah to your roster, but it seems as Facebook that you won't be competing. I'm sorry to hear that Goodluck next season if I don't see you before then.

I look forward to the event!!! And hope to see many familiar faces and new ones alike.

I've only been involved in paintball for 4 or 5 years so I may not have the experience to have the proper insight. Obviously there needs to be a good spot for players to get their feet wet and see what tourneys are all about thus the beginner level. After that it it gets kind of messy on how to group players. Newer players still wanting to hone their skills need a spot to continue learning so the beginner level also makes sense. The players that I don't see many opportunities for competition are players that once played fairly seriously but for whatever reasons have had to step back and play less. To be fair to a 5 man team, a player needs to practice often and help with team responsibilities. This same player can jump in with a couple other guys and play a 3 man here and there and still enjoy the fun of competition. I think the changes you made to the beginner level bring opprotunities for more players to be involved. Maybe a name change for the 2nd level to something like competitor.

Jake, I don't feel that I should have to pay a D3 player to play so a couple of Appa beginner ranked players would have a snowballs chance in Hell to be competitive! Btw, good luck this weekend.

Richard, your boys have the skills to compete in the rookie division, they just need to develop & commit to a game plan, trust that their team mates are going to do their job & communicate!

Rich, I appreciate your thoughts. However, commitment and trust haven't been the standards of previous teammates and support. What's done is done. Trent is chalking it up as experience as am I. Keep us posted on DC.

Richard, Time to move on, I know we are talking about having a skills development clinic. I'd suggest the boys come out to sharpen the saw.

This is Travis from Midwest Massacre, my number is posted above, keep me informed about clinics. My ultimate plan is to move to rookie in the begining of 2013 but me and my boys gotta be ready. I don't wanna be a sand bagger, I despise that. I wanna start hitting up clinics as well as get some sponserships rolling. We have already stepped up the competition in which we practice with and I am also restructering the team. I am starting to take this as serious as time permits, so I wanna get the ball rolling. Any tips given on any topic would be greatly appreciated and definately not forgotten! thanks guys

So we are now paying players to play in local tournaments... When I started I played against guys playing for around 10 years... How do you expect to get better, or have a snow balls chance in hell in winning, ever. The objective or ultimate goal is yes to win. However, that can never be achieved without getting demolished/ pushed around for awhile. At least that's the story from almost every player back in the day.
