I've been wanting to get a carbine/lever action rifle lately. I really want a 1886 Winchester but its a little bit out of my price range. Any suggestions?

my last two pickups were a Remington R1 Enhanced in .45 ACP
and a Remington 700 CDL SF Stainless Fluted in 7mm Mag with a bushnell elite 6500 2.5-16x42...there went about 2500.00 really quick

I Would recommend the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm for a all around good hand gun

We have firearms threads in both small talk and OSST. As much as I love discussing firearms, this is rather unnecessary.

Don't wanna sound like a killjoy but we've already got Firearm threads in ST and OSST, don't know if mods are gonna let this one live.
that said....I've got a small collection, but I'm happy with all 3.
Russian Mosin Nagant
CZ452FS with BRNO match globe sights (this thing is just absurdly accurate, it'll shoot under half MOA with Wolf MT)
and my home built AR15 (pictured Below)

Where does one compete in the sport of firearms?
If you want to talk about competitive shooting, thats cool, but this thread as just a general gunz discussion is a bit out of place.
