What do you mean by that? In the same way that 1.6 and Source don't feel the same? Movement and recoil are definatly more source inspired, they need to bring back the way 1.6 has better directional sound and continue tweaking the recoil to be less source and more 1.6.

Played the beta last night and had tons of fun. It has changed enough to be fresh, but it is close enough to the previous iterations of CS that after a few rounds I was back to the tops of the scoreboard.

This is true, just pre-ordered the Game and it is a blast. They added just the right amount to not mess anything up, and they sure accomplished that. I am very excited for the Release!

Got a few Go servers up this weekend, did some pickup 10 mans.
Normal nuke is just silly now, I didn't have the nuke volcano edit on the server to test the competitive version.
Train middle is pretty well ruined with the way the trains are situated now and giving the CT's two heavens.
D2 is D2 and we didn't play D1.
Inferno isn't bad, maybe just needs a tweak to banana to make it a little closer to how it was. I like that the CT's can't just sit at porch and awp down, it forces them out to car and evens up the timings but theres a spot at car that you can't really see and the CT's can sit there and destroy you. I hope the competitive scene takes out the molotovs, makes it so CT's can force the T's not to rush.
Once I do some more testing and the game comes out I will post my CSGO DM server IP.

ive been playing alot of scrims and i played ESL but we had to forefit because i made a pug team and yeah its just bleh when you have people complaining all the time so we stopped playing. ESL was run horidly But i got some nice 4k's and ace's i got the demos recorded but they wont play -.-. And Kazer on the maps Volcano is working on alot of new stuff the nuke_ve made that map so much more fluid so it was much smoother the gameplay, But the other maps need alot of work which hopefully volcano will finish soon. Also i suggested that instead of bringing maps like tuscan/fire/ruska/mill back brutemaps and volcano work together on making BRAND NEW MAPS for this new game because Source players would have the advantage on everyone else because most of the maps that will be on GO would resemble source alot so source players will know some more boosts and angles etc etc over other players. But if theirs new maps everyone has to adjust to it and it would make watching CS more intresting.

I saw the walkthrough Sal did for ESEA's youtube channel, I just wanted to get some scrims in so i didn't throw it on the server. Stupid thing took like 3 hours to download the latest update because I think it preloaded all the full version stuff again to the HLDS. I think the outside stairs being in the front of big garage is a mistake. Need to move it back to where it has always been or put it in the back of the garage where the pipe is.

I have always liked the CPL maps, have never been a huge fan of russka or cache however. I like contra as well, hopefully its not long after release when we start seeing some of the custom maps. I do agree that Sal and the Brutemaps team should get together and make some new maps. They should start from scratch with train but make it closer to the 1.6 version as far as train design, but with the extra little cubby near outside bomb train and the wall in CT "Z" hall.

3 hours to download? Damm it only took me 15 mins. But umm yeah if theres brand new maps that EVERYONE has to adjust to the game would be so much more intresting to watch.

For the server yes. This last large update made it so it had to redownload the whole game for some reason. It's hosted at hurricane electric here in California on a backbone so I don't understand how it took that long either. Had to be maxing whatever the content server was putting out and from the linux command line it doesn't give you speed just a little progress bar with a percentage.

THe Foerester guy arguing with you was on hyper and Check6 in Source for awhile. I met him on lan at CPL Summer '05 and buy.com Anaheim CGS qualifier. Check6 was trying to trade him at the lan and cut him afterwards because he was playing awful.

Directional sound is still broken you also can't really hear how far away people are. I mean its got better from where the beta started but still needs some polish in the sound areas.
