Am I a baby for wearing padding?

In 2 days i will be heading to paintball. I'm bringing my tipppmann 98 custom and my family. I'm going to be wearing heavy camouflage pants and a very thin matching shirt with a padded shirt underneath. I often see rec-ballers wear nothing but a t-shirt and shorts. Am i being a ***** for wearing the extra stuff? I think it's going to be hard to move and i will heat up quick in them.

There's a lot of people that wear padding it doesn't make you a ***** it just means that that's your comfortablility level. If it gets hard to move or you get to hot then you can always take it off and just wear the shirt I would even bring like a some medium protection like a sport long sleeve (Nike, UA,Starter) just in case the padding is too much and the thin shirt is two little

I was wondering the same thing when I started back...then I ran out there and said a big ol' "**** it." and ended up in shorts and a T shirt. Only way to get used to the pain is embracing it!

Then this happened on my forearm. Haha

It doesn't make you a *****. Lots of paintball players wear padding. I myself wear knee pads under my paintball pants. It's just easier on my body. If you are heating up and start sweating and getting dehydrated take a layer off. No big deal.

If anything, your being more of a baby worrying about this stuff. Just get out there and have fun. It's a game in the end.

The people who judge your worth by what you wear/have aren't the people you should hang out with.

Start with padding. As you get better more experienced and spend more money I'd recommend wearing a jersey of some sort with good padding and a shirt 2 sizes bigger than your norm underneath. As well as playing pants with basket ball shorts underneath or sweat pants during winter. Generally for jerseys and pants I recommend Empire, JT, or dye.

Padding does not make you a *****, professional players use padding, in almost every sport. So don't let anyone tell you you're a *****.

Do what you want, if you're having fun what do you care about what others think?

That being said don't be that guy who shows up with a damn parka that nothing breaks on.

If you are not playing at a regular field it will be important that everyone Chrono. It is the shots above the 300fps that hurt the worst

I see a lot of walk-ons do this...it takes the fun out of the game, whats the purpose of coming to play if your scared of a little paintball

It hurts for 2 seconds then it goes away, finish the game take the hits, eventually you will barely feel them you will be so used to it.

If you quit everytime when your team is losing and your going to get shot then you will never get better

bring it along just in case you decide you want it, if it gets too hot you can just take it off, i usually end up playing in a t-shirt by the end of the day, its usually plenty of padding really....some people just bruise worse than others so some pictures of hits look worse than they really are lol.

typically, your only scared of getting shot your first couple of games, after that the competitive side starts taking over and your more scared of getting out than getting hit and you dont even notice them anymore.

If anything it is smart. I'm not saying so much pain-wise, although it will definitely help, but it will be more likely you get bounces and you can stay in longer.

Even the pro players wear elbow pads, knee pads, slider shorts, and their jerseys and pants have some sort of padding. Its just good strategy in my opinion.

if your wearing padding, you wont be as nervous about getting hit, so you will naturally play harder
