FYI, that's an EMPIRE LPR not an Alias. Notice the hex section on the base is more defined/more squared off than the Alias LPR Base.
It's just a little tidbit of Timmy info that goes widely unnoticed and flies under the radar. Negligible, but I thought if point it out.

Thats an Alias Lpr cap. Since the GEN3 lprs hae different insides, the cap is what defines it. The OG Empire Lpr is 2K2 style and has swirly curves on it. The Empire II is similar, but the cap is more pointed and it has the ribbing ring (sounds odd, I know) for a better grip.

It actually looks exactly like the NIB Alias lpr pictured right above it....

I thought about that as I was submitting it. It's beautiful work all around though

The LPR assembly is from an alias project I picked up on ebay. The gun was an alias at the time.
So, it has an Empire LPR body/housing and the cap is from an Alias, correct?

^^^ Yes.

After the initial 2 or 3 Empire batches ran out Simon opted to not run the older (larger) 2k2 sized LPRs and they retooled the base a smidge to differentiate it from the Alias just as subtly as the Empire Block differentiates from the Alias Block.

Here's the ALIAS LPR:


Looking at Turmoil's LPR hex base, it does not taper off towards the front the way the Alias base does. That's the difference. When the first run of them was completed Terry sent me an Empire Block and LPR because I couldn't get my Storm's Alias LPR open for squat. Removing an Alias LPR can be a major pain in the arse whereas the Empire one is generally a breeze.
