Mag troubleshooting resources?

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and most of my paintball experience was pre-internet forums - I'm just now getting back in to the hobby, and I'm interested in using a mag. Some of the people I'll be playing with have them, though both have issues right now.

What I'm looking for are resources for troubleshooting these guns - common problems, common fixes, etc. I've been reading through a lot of old threads on here and on automags.org but haven't yet seen any single FAQ thread or consolidated troubleshooting guide, so I'm hoping people can point me at them if they exist. I'll start another thread regarding troubleshooting of the guns that have problems now but would still like any general references that are out there.

I've seen the "AGD Tech Questions" thread and that was definitely helpful. I guess I was hoping there was something more extensive out there - an "aftermarket" repair manual or other more in-depth concise guide. I'm probably dreaming though huh...

no, nothing like that, but fixing an automag is simple. best thing I EVER did was accually watch "tom kaye's tech tips" the video was made in 1991 when the lvl 6 automag came out but its the best diagnostical learning you will ever get with an automag.

other then that its usually the sear, spring, or o-rings.

I believe that the video that he's referring to has been parted or and posted on YouTube. If you can't find it, pm me, I burned a DVD version of the old VHS tape.
