Not really much you can do to smoothen it out other than tuning the regs, mainly the LPR.
A spyder mainspring kit & a 'cocker mainspring kit might help if you're looking to go all out on it as far as tuning, tuning the valve is a bit more involved than most people would like it to be though, but seeing as how you got a 'cocker (albeit a trilogy) and not an ion, that will probably mean more fun for you.
If you don't mind paying (a bit much if you ask me) for an externally adjustable LPR, you could get a Palmer's trilogy rock LPR, that'll save you some time and headaches.
Depending on your local paint (get it sized), you might want to look into a smaller bore barrel, sometimes it can get as small as .675 (from what I've heard), I did run into a batch under .685 here in my country, even with 90%+ humidity and in the higher 90's, so even when it was slightly swollen it was still smaller than my .685 CP (smallest bore I had at the time); I've yet to find paint under .682 myself but it's not unheard of.
