The Archery match between the Italians and United States was pretty damn good, I wish it would have gone into the "Shoot-Out". Anyone else catch it?

I wish Phelps could have done better today but glad Lochte was able to pick up the slack.

Here's an interesting question, to provoke a bit of discussion and debate:
Which is more important: total medal count, or gold medals only? In Beijing, China won more overall medals, but America won more gold medals.
I tend to think that gold medal count is more important, because that means we were the best at the most things, as opposed to being 2nd and 3rd best at even more things.

That was sweet. The fencing match between two italian girls was even more close. Both were awesome.

Curious to see how many athletes we had though. If we have 200 more competing athletes than China, and we won more gold medals, big surprise there.

A lot of noise that China is going to be stripped of its Gold medal in the Women's 400 IM because of doping...

What really pissed me off was the commentator saying "well, Lochte locks up another American upset" halfway through his second length with the French guy pretty much dead even with him and moving by him. Way to make yourself look like an arrogant cockhole, bud.

I wanted to scream at the ****ing t.v. after that performance considering the huge lead he lost. Looks like Ryan Lochte came to the Olympics to beat Michael Phelps, not represent his country to the best of his ability. The other 3 guys did an awesome job building a huge lead. Way to be a selfish ****ing prick and loose all your motivation after beating your rival. Excuse me while i go puke because that final individual performance made me sick.

Lochte choked and that french ****er went all Lezak.
Also, USA womens gymnastics choked ****ing hard on floor routine. Its a damn good thing their scores from the other 3 events were ****ing absurd.
edit: Lochte chokes again... this is comical since after he beat Phelps everyone was on his dick about how he was already the "second coming" of the GOAT. Maybe now these idiots will realize what Phelps did really was that ****ing incredible and will likely never happen again in our lifetime.

I don't understand the Lochte hype. This dude is far from dominant.

Phelps' no longer gives a genuine **** about swimming (he did London for his mom) so the advertisers realized they needed a new face for one of the most iconic sports in American Olympic history.
Lochte seemed to be the heir to the throne, but so far all he's done is prove just how ****ing epic Phelps was in his prime.
