Tank fill ups

I got a backyard field and we play regularly but my local pro shop is 45 mins away.
Now my question is what's a cheap way to go about getting something to air up my tanks.

I've already looked into the Benjamin hand pump thing not interested

Cheapest is to get a bulk scuba. Next best would be to run several scuba tanks in a cascade system. Anything above that becomes much more pricey. Even if you got a shoebox compressor you need several hours to fill one tank.

Yes you would. You would need the line(s) and a fill yolk along with the bulk tank.
If you have several people that play regularly with you perhaps you should run the idea of them pitching in as well for the equipment you would need. It's the cheapest way to go that gives you a good fill. Just keep in mind if you get one tank the fill pressure per tank gets lower and lower as the bulk tank pressure drops. A cascade systems allows you to get more 'full' fills before the pressure starts dropping in the fill system.

Depends on the tanks you get and the size. The fill yolks and lines should be rather consistent with the pricing. Then any fittings you may need.

You can pick up an 80cf scuba tank for $100-$150 and the fill station is about $25 on ebay. Fills will run you about $5-$10 to get the tank filled.

Scuba tank idea is probably your best bet. If you need more air than what scubas can offer though, I have seen some budget air compressor setups come out

Why do people do this wanna-be hk thing? I mean hk people dont even play paintball, they just whine and start drama while wearing the ugliest stuff. Seriously you find light blue and pink to be attractive colors for your parents 1500 dollar investment (your gun/marker)? If you want to whine keep it off the field and save it for the internet; O wait! THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO! Haha, if you don't play then don't whine.

I want your G6r parts and upgrades, sell them to me, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

No

A scuba tank starts at 3000 psi and when you hook it up to your 3K tank, they will even out at about 28-2900 the first fill. Then the next time, it will be less and the next, less and so on. If you have several scuba tanks, you start filling off of the one with the lowest pressure, then move to the next higher and then to the next and so on until you have gone through the scuba tanks. That will give you much higher pressure.

If you want 4500 psi you are looking at either going with SCBA bottles or your own compressor.

You could also purchase a DOT 444cf 4500PSI bottle. They run about $350 used and $550 new, the fill station is about $300. The fills run about $25-$50 and you will be able to get 4500 psi fills, decreasing about 50psi per bottle filled.

I found this thing called a shoebox compressor that looked to be around my price range and cheaper in the long run. Any thoughts or comments on these?

Sammy I am not sure, but I have heard the Shoebox takes like 30-45 mins to fill a 3000psi tank.

You also need a tool compressor I believe and an outlet to run it as I recall. They work great to my understanding but they take quite a bit of time to fill your tank.
It's not practical for multiple tanks that want to get back on the field quickly.

Yea it takes like almost 2hrs for a 3k tank but I got a backyard field to play on I could just prefill my tanks the day before playing and I got a shop compressor and electricity out in the barn I could use. Just not sure how durable these are and what the warranty would be like

The ShoeBox is a compressor but it needs a good air supply. So you can get like a 150-200 PSI compressor at Lowes (compressor tank size doesnt really matter, unless you have other uses for it) then you hook that up to the Shoebox. I havent used one but have heard good, and bad things. Maybe you could even use that to fill scuba tanks overnight so when you need to play, you will be able to fill quickly from them, and always have free air.

Not only did you bring back a thread that had been dealt with a month and a half ago, but you also mentioned the thing that the OP didn't want to deal with...

Regular compressors usually only do 600 psi
