How efficient am I?

How many shots should I get from an slp 50ci/4500 with g6r with lp poppet, and hush bolt?

If you get about 2100 out of a 68/4500 on a stock poppet, LP poppet takes it down to about 1850; a 50/4500 should come to about 1350 give or take a pod.

1850/68*50=~1350 shots

I was always under the impression that the LP poppet would give you more shots, since the OP is lower... now im confused...

It causes the poppet to stay open longer since it (the LP Poppet stem) is longer so the rammer opens it sooner. Though saying it takes away 250 shots is quite a bit, typically people notice a pod or less decrease in efficiency with it.

it lowers the pressure by using more air

When I had my 72/45 on my g6r, I was getting 12 standard pods and 4 rotors on a 45k fill. Plus,i still had change in the tank

Boyle's Law

Basically, low pressure, higher volume. High pressure, lower volume.

Sons g6r pulled off 9 pods and the hopper at a tournament earlier this year with: LP Poppet, SLP, 50/4500 hot fill about 4000psi.

Somethings definitely off with mine then. 68/45, but only filling to around 3, and was getting 4 pods and a hopper with a little air left. I threw the gauge on it, and the lpr was a little high. Turned it down, but no help. Gonna check all the rings tonight, along with dwell, but not expecting to find much...gun works fine otherwise.

Except the volume of air does not change between stock poppet and lp poppet.

how is that possible. the only way you can lower the pressure is by using more air as far as a poppet is concerned. if not then how does it lower the pressure. by magic

It used the air sooner in cycling of the marker.

doesn't the LP poppet just longer therefore changing the mechanical dwell? which is just a fancy way of saying the poppet is open for a longer time than the regular poppet. that was my understanding of it

It's opening sooner in the cycling, with the electrical dwell it is still fully opened for the same amount of time(6ms)

Ok...reset board to stock, lubed lpr, hpr, bolt and ram. Reset pressures, still not getting what I would call "standard" efficiency. Any thoughts where to look next? Don't hear/feel any leaks, but do feel a tiny puff from the bottom of the ram cap at firing. Going to replace that this week, but don't think that would make as big of a loss as I'm seeing. Hush bolt and no ping ram shouldn't be it either...all rings look good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What's your pressures at?

Should get around a case on a 68/45.

Put the stock bolt and ram back in.
