Question Pls help (dm12 vs geo 3)

I have shot most of the top end baintball guns and this is the 2 I like. I play mid field or frount in 3 man games. I will like to know the pro and cons of these 2 guns?

Well if you have shot both then you probably have narrowed it down to the two based on how they shot.

Dm12 is a bit overpriced I would say. It comes with a led board and requires you to open up the grips to change modes. Just annoying. Both will be similar efficiency wise but the geo may have the slight edge. Geo has less o-rings and will require less maitenece. Geo has a good LCD screen with a user friendly board. Not sure what else to say if you wanna know anything else let me know.

I watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=b7tN8blFe3w on youtube. The guy mentioned that the GEO3 has a air leake where the regulator and the main body meets. He explained thatGEO3 is just like a prototipe.
Is it true that the gun leaks air?

No, it does not leak by design.

I agree with stuntman about the Dm12 being overpriced for what you get. For such a high priced gun, you only get a LED board. I believe the Dm will be smoother.

The Geo3 has the LCD screen and the adjustable noid. I think the Geo will also be more reliable due to less orings. It will not be as smooth. Efficiency will be about the same.

It is personal preference. I prefer the geo over the Dm due to reliability, the spacing and way it feels in the hands, and having the easy ability to switch between PSP ramp and semi (I play both formats).

Strictly between those two, I'm inclined to say the Geo3. It is decently smooth, efficient, etc but the fact that Dye refuses to add a decent board kinda bugs me. I'd still say a clone GT is far better than either...

If you like to some time maintenancing your gun, and you know how to fix it if it goes down, get the dm. Also has to be tuned to perfection to get that perfect straight shot

if not get the geo
bit simpler to maintain, much easier to take care of imo.

Both great guns, but PE just has a better platform IMO

Sucks that they make you buy the Billy Wing bolt separately too. At that price, if they aren't going to give you a LCD or OLED screen, they could AT LEAST give customers the best bolt available

I agree with that too. PE gives you 2 bolts with the Geo3 and is still priced competitively. Dye almost seems to me like SP did towards the end of their run in that they focused almost exclusively on their low-end market (Ion vs Proto) and let their high-ends die. It is getting to the point that Dye guns are pretty irrelevant in the current market and I find it sad that a gun that was $600 in 2008 (PM8) is still VERY close in overall performance/ features to the modern DM12.

I think I would take the Geo3, I just feel that you get more marker for your dollar.

the thing is though what can a ego 5 do that a ego 11 cant, this goes for all guns the performance difference is minuscule at best.

If you said 08 or 09 Ego compared to 11, I'd still debate you but you would have ground to stand on. However the 05 to 11 Ego. The performance differences are far more than minuscule.
05 had those annoying shims in the reg. Still had the QEVs. Was heavier due to the rammer being placed in a sleeve. That's just a few things.
In comparison from an 05 to 11 they have seriously improved efficiency, offer a reg that allows you to shoot deeper into the tank, improved consistency, cut weight, provided a better board, produce one of the best barrels out, decreased the "kick" and that's not even getting into cosmetics.

And we can say the same comparisons for the Timmy's from 05 compared to the Rippers and G6Rs today

It doesn't leak, u just get a little puff of air near the front, same as geo 2.1s and 2s I think

DM12 will probably be smoother, but the overall better choice would be the Geo3

So many PE fanboys.... The geo platform is tremendously over priced. They don't shoot like their price tag would suggest. Terrible efficiency, awkward in the hands. I wonder if another company put out the geo would it have been so successful. the better marker is the dm12. Period.

^^^^ dm12 is better????? I really don't think so
Maybe the same
But still geo 3 has a board and like very little orings. And the dm has a lot of orings. And no board. Still a led light like my axe lol and it's baby the reflex rail and dm13 and 12 and 11 are all da same. Theirs only 3 geos because p e is not like dye. Dye has a new marker every single year not caring if the actually shoot the same

The dm line doesn't have a board? You mean LCD? A I would rather have an led...there are 11 egos , etha, 4 eteks, geo geo+ geo2 geo2.1 and the geo 3.....youu were saying something about dye pushing new markers every year? the fact of the matter is A matrix outshines any of the geos.
