if i had enough time/talent i'd re-create that news broadcast only show a hello kitty poster or a lolcats poster and spin off how that made him a psychopath.
but the people above hit the nail on the head, there's always gotta be a scapegoat.

Both of the last shooters were killed by bystanders that were carrying, before they could take many innocent lives. The last massacre in colorado, (columbine), and the shooting at VA Tech were in zones where it was illegal to have a gun even with a CCW. Im not saying that I'm 100% sure things would have been different if the movie goers were allowed to carry, but it should be their right to protect themselves. The news should be attacking Cinemark for infringing on its Customers rights and creating a massacre out of a potentially avoidable event. Lets face it, someone willing to commit murder, isn't going to be too worried about breaking a few laws regarding where its legal to carry a weapon.

Nonsensical block of text aside...
You do know that gun sales in Colorado have gone up 43% since the shooting correct? Its only been a few days. Paintball should not even be an issue.
Inside edition is watching... watch your posts...

This is terrible and I let my opinions known on their Facebook page...its always the video games, movies, guns, paintball, but never is it the person that has the ability to think for his actions. That 2nd rate news station is pathetic.

I suggest that everyone goes onto facebook, goes to the inside edition page and give them your thoughts in a calm professional manner, i have already done so and have written multiple things as well as many others, go now to clear this negative label off of our sport and us as individual players

F media and the government... You should not be repping for us and I hope your comments are not read by too many people. Neither are to blame. One outlet used poor judgement, so the government is evil and all media is evil? Think that through...

Couldn't agree more actually. This story honestly will last like 3 more days. Storys like the Olympics and the UN gun ban will make more money and Poof, you'll hear very little of the court case until its finished.

Common household item. Perfect for meats, and "avoiding detection"

I agree with you. Wisconsin is also a carry state, and if a Batman villain walked into my store with a AR and started opening fire, I know it would only be seconds until he was put down. The only problem with this is crossfire clearly, but what you said about the churches is true, we've had many similar cases here.

Talk about grasping for threads. Such an obvious ratings move. Way to show how much you truly care for the incident and it's victims.

?
Oh my god! They had MASKS on!? With paintball guns!? What a totally uncommon thing!
What the ****? Do they expect people not wearing our main safety protection while holding our main tool? That makes the accusation almost laughable in it self.
Seriously, they have nothing better to cover than to make this the problem at hand? It wasn't paintball he is a ****ing psychopath. Shouldn't they be annoying the families of the victims and accused like they normally do?

Is it possible to stop with the "killing our sport" fake drama? There are a thousand things "killing our sport" everywhere I turn on these forums. And it's still very much alive and well.
If there were that many things really killing the sport, it would be dead. It ain't. In my 24 years of play the only thing I have actually seen even come close to killing our sport is the recession.

Sorry, just a little pet peeve. Paintball ain't dyin', not by a long shot! This incident might be galling but in the end we just have to keep representing the sport well, and the publicity might actually end up growing the sport.

This was posted on Inside Editions FB wall. http://thinkprogress.org/health/2012...ill/?mobile=nc
Since they believe that the paintball community is a bunch of terrorist nut jobs, lets show them how we help people with our sport.
This person was a victim of the shooting spree in Colorado and is uninsured.
Not only is he in ICU, his wife gave birth to their baby boy in the very same hospital just days after the shooting.
Lets show the media what we have done for 3 decades, lets show them how we raise money for those in need, for the sick and helpless. Lets throw an event to help the victims of the shooting, heck event a series of events.
Please spread the word! I posted this on the Inside Edition FB page to help get the word out.
