Any pics comparing it to a prophecy, particularly the size of the speedfeed?

But that should still make it spin. paint will still be moving inside the hopper and trip the g force sensor.

Depending on the batteries you use it will probably change but in our experience 14-15 is not a exaggeration. Also there is a Low Battery Indicator, if the batteries are low the LED will flash yellow for 1 second and will beep 3 times at you.

Abrupt, sharp smacks will typically be registered as a shot so you can "spoof" the sensor that way. But that's not vibration activated with running. Now what you say where about running around and having paint move? If you've got a handful of balls in the hopper and are running around so that the paint makes such a racket that it's really hitting it hard on the inside, you might get "lucky" every now and then and the Spire might interpret that as a "go" signal and give it one pulse of the drive. But the drive would slide under and around the ball and immediately stop. I just wanted to make it very clear it's not like its spinning every time you run (it's not).

What kind of plastic does this shell and other parts use? I find that the Rotor had incredible durability due to its "special" plastic. I'm wondering if the Spire is as durable as the Rotor.

Very similar to the rotor. I did not feel like a was sacrificing anything in terms of durability when I switched to the spire.

The top and bottom shells are glass filled nylon, like many popular pistols these days, and also the rotor. The back shell is the same material as your lens, just a lot thicker.
Just finished a cheese-ball torture test, where we did water, torch, bacon wrapping, chicken pecking, as well as a 12 gauge hit that impacted right in the middle of both shells (where some people have suggested it's more likely to break). No issues. Saving video as we speak

A drop test only really works on a loader with a eye, resistance, or pressure switch sensor.
We will be releasing more videos but the loader was designed to be shot on a gun. Not fill your pods.

Did you tune into the paintballaccess.com webcast? You could watch brand new loaders straight out of the box to a few of the Heat guys being used all weekend. Yes, it actually feeds paintballs. And no, I didn't bother giving anyone a "drop test" in my videos (but I do demonstrate it still works). I think a couple people have done that on youtube already though.

Ya, but the "ugh" is compared to what? He's pointing down toward the ground. You get ~20-30 more balls than the Rotor/Z2. So you can never have that paint at all and we can waste space and build in a bigger ramp while losing capacity (there is a ramp now, just not extreme because we figured capacity is better in most situations). Or you can have that capacity for most of the time when you're not shooting at the ground 20yd in front of you. We had these same discussions internally and with other players during testing and the consensus was that it's better to have that capacity and be able to use it in most situations.
I suppose someone could always design some kind of part that snaps into the tray to make more of a ramp and sell it and let the players decide which trade off they want.

Well DUH
He's shooting downslope dude..... If you are a tournament player, that will never be an issue..... and either way, you would experience the same with every other loader on the market, if shot like that.

Actually, you won't.
You are correct about playing on a flat tournament field though.
