Blitz paintball followup.
Good day of ball today. Just a little followup.
Turf was nice, but when we slid on the older turf, out hands got cut up like none other. Hurts like a *****. I understand they are moving locations, so that will be cool, especially if new turf is included.
I can see how someone might think the guy who seemed to be running the show would come off as rude. He was kind of talking down to us, not saying thank you, treating us like we're inconveniencing him, etc.
Also, smoking in front of customers, and more importantly children, especially while on the clock, is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. I understand it's an addiction, but there is absolutely no reason to do it where customers can see you.
Overall though, the field was nice, the refs where excellent, the players were friendly and no bull**** broke out. Had a great time and will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.
PS- I am most definitely bringing that 20 pushup rule back to texas

Right on! Sounds like more pros than cons - which is good I'd say. Definitely call up Blitz or email them with your grievances and they'll listen.
-Pro tip - dive with your palms/arms up ......Even though I still don't do that hah. I cut up my hands all the time out there... But you would know more than I good sir!

I don't know if I can say this on this forum or not, but I ruined a pair of boxers when I felt the new turf. I would bet all of the money in my wallet that none of you have played paintball on turf that is nicer than the stuff Ike bought for the new field

How much longer do we have to wait?? 6 more months? Spring time? Next summer? Some of the guys at Hustle have gotten a sneak preview but I'm unfortunately not one of them.

If it's the astroturf you were talking about, we have a new field here in Dallas that has brand new astroturf. Best turf ever.

That field looks fantastic. Playin' in luxury I see. No weeds popping though either! I might have to tag along with the lady next time she sees family in Dallas so I have an excuse to play

Yeah it's a nice field, there is just isn't a large crowd unless you know everyone is going out there that day.

This is so true. I mean would I drive an hour and a half every weekend for paintball? Well ya! But would I be happy about it... mmmm No
So glad Blitz is so close.

And they chose Millenium bunkers... why? hahaha
Still a gorgeous field no doubt. Hoping to have our own pride and joy ASAP!
Glad to hear you fellas enjoyed your time, I understand it wasn't anywhere near as busy as usual and you may have been expecting more, but despite the absence of a lot of our speedball scene still a great day of ball! Catch you guys laters

The turf that is currently on the fields is not the best in the word, but its worlds better then straight dirt, no mud, no core samples, and way better grip.
The New Turf is the same type found on Professional Sports fields, it has tire infill and is like diving on a down mattress.
Every Ref has there own style some are serious some are a lot more laid back, but they should always be polite and courteous.
The 20 pushup rules, is great, because not only does it send a clear message, but every time a player sees someone doing pushups it reminds them to follow the rules.
Glad you had a good time, hopefully will get to see you out there again sometime soon!

Can I ask where that field is and whose netting is being used? It LOOKS GREAT. Field, Turf, Bunkers and Net.
