I just spoke with Erica at MNPro to try and get some answers....

In regards to rosters
(and as posted on pbnation) Current APPA rankings as of August 21st will be used.
Rosters are allowed 5 players and 1 staff. (two D4 players can drop in)

Game play
(and as posted on pbnation) Teams will play at least 8 games. Unsure how many teams you would face however.
They are deciding on how advancement will work to following rounds. ((They are still discussing this, and will be making a decision and posting the answer on Pbnation by tomorrow afternoon)
It will be PSP rules
Unsure on coaching, sideline coaching (They are still discussing this, and will be making a decision and posting the answer on Pbnation by tomorrow afternoon)
Unsure on a protected color
Games all played on a airball field.
There is no answer on sister team play in prelims. (They are still discussing this, and will be making a decision and posting the answer on Pbnation by tomorrow afternoon)

Reffing staff is still being figured out. Erica believed 4 referees would be PSP certified and the rest would be not be. There was not a determined amount of referees on the field as of this time.

Prizes are guaranteed
There will not be a minimum amount of teams need to run the event. She stated that if 3 teams are paid the event is still going to happen.

This is what I have gathered as of now... I called and spoke to Erica again to get some of the answers. She stated alot of the answers would we all are looking for would be posted tomorrow.

So teams can't have 6 players for 1 rotation in case somebody gets injured or anything?....seems silly.

On classifications, it's extremely unlikely that points earned at a D5 event are going to affect your classification for 2013, and it's impossible for it to change your classification before the end of 2012 (well, I suppose if you were D6 you might get pushed to D5, but who would care about that?)

RaceTo-2 is 8-12 prelim games followed by playoffs. PSP style playoffs with 10 or fewer teams in the event (4 advance) would be an additional 4-6 games. Over 10 would add quarterfinals for 4 teams and another 2-3 games.

I'd be extremely surprised if teams shot more than 12 cases in a D5 tournament. If you find yourself shooting more than that, try moving out of your primaries.

Personally, my team has shot 8 cases or less in prelims in D4 PSP's over the past couple years. Might shoot a bit more than that if you don't suck as bad as we do.

We apologize for the delay in getting you these answers. All of the questions were clarified by our Tournament Director, Josh Kryzer, to ensure that they were correct before posted.

In regard to coaching, all teams are able to have one coach in designated area on the show tape.

Each team will be able to have seven players on the roster, plus one staff member.

It is not a team reffing the games. The staff is comprised of individuals affiliated with MN Pro Paintball. There will be several certified refs on site all day. These refs are being compiled by our Tournament Director. All questions pertaining specifically to the staff should be directed to josh.k@mnpropaintball.com

The bps is 12.5 cap for all modes. The ramping max rate is psp so you can use any other mode that is less than psp. You can use semi but the bps is still capped at 12.5

There is no protected color.

It is psp race2 bracketing and you will play each team in your bracket, best of 3

Their custom blend is orange fill and shoots great.

What exactly do you want "changed"?

Just saying, there should be a protected color, and it should be orange.... Just to make your refs lives easier

It would be just like wearing white at an AA event. You run the risk of a ref thinking you're hit if you wear too much white there. Treat orange the same way for this event to make your life easier as a player, ref's discretion is always the final say.

**EDIT**

I had the wrong information, players will be using the RPS Premium Gold paint which has a teal/minty green fill. As stated above, wear similar colors at your/your team's risk as refs will likely have the final call.

Would the coach be the 1 staff member, or can this be a non-rostered person?

If we bring an extra player can the coach be one of the players who isn't playing and have them on the roster under players?
