I actually just started dating a culturally Jewish girl, and she has shared a tiny bit of Hebrew with me. Pretty interesting language, gathering from the little bit I've been exposed to so far.

Biblical hebrew is much different than modern hebrew, but I would agree that both are pretty neat.

God is Eloheim in Hebrew, and Elah/Alaha (sp?) in Aramaic. Both very similar to Allah in Arabic and probably stem from the same root word.

Ramadan Kareem macooo. Alhamdulillah Allah has made it easy for me so far. I thought the long days would be difficult to complete but it's been quite the opposite. My body hasn't felt this good in a long, long time. InshaAllah the rest of the month stays like this.

A good friend has a daughter that works for a tech company in the UAE. During Ramadan, if she ( a non muslim), is seen eating anything during the day, at work, she risks imprisonment for up to thirty days. Plus all the crap she will get from her co workers. IMO Religious dogma should have no place in the formation of laws of a soveriegn state. Especial non sensical rules developed 1000 years ago.
