Ego7 Troubles
I had the unfortunate problem of not being able to play for the last few years and have forgot a lot about my gun. I have an EGO7 that has been sittin since late 2009 and now i cant get it to fire. I disassembled and oiled everything up but when i put air to it the bolt does a full cycle forward but it will not fire air through the barrel like its on training mode but does a full cycle with the bolt. I cant for the life of me figure this out everything is clean and lubed. I guess the only thing i did not do is turn up the regulator. Over time would the reg lose its setting? I dont know any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your bolt pin is not in front of the rammer.

I took apart my ego8 once and swore I put it back together right. I ended up putting a valve in backwards. The gun cycled just fine but it sounded like it was in training mode or something and wouldn't actually shoot. Maybe this?

Change your battery
Reset the board to stock settings
Check the shims in the regulator
Check the valve

)()()()()()()()(
There should be 16 of them
and use a good high quailty battery take your reg apart and check all your orings and replace if need

Be careful as hell when taking it apart since those 16 shims will fall out easily and picking them all up is a pain in the bum.
Be sure to have the HPR in the position where the swivel collar side is pointed up when taking apart the HPR.

If it is none of those, then take the opportunity to do a banjo mod and replace the QEV.

Probably the reg, but if that doesn't work check your qev diaphragm. Brady had the same problem with the 07 he got from meanstreak a few weeks ago. Great to see that you're playing again...come out to the Douglas field on the 28th if you can. Good luck!

Check page 50 of the 07 manual talks about maintaining the reg and shows proper order of the shim stack

I think Caol has the issue. 99% of 07 issues are the diaphragm or battery.

You can clean the diaphragms. If they are torn they will need need to be replaced. They're cheap so replacing them isn't a bad idea. Then you're good for another few hundred thousand shots.

No problem....just glad to see you're playing again! Www.paintballshowcase.com or www.paintballgateway.com have a great selection of ego parts...they should both be able to hook you up with some diaphragms...or check with some of the local guys...trent might have picked some up for his 08 when he had it...or hell, maybe even billy or Tate...

check the valve next. if air is getting to the noid then its getting to the valve. if you took the gun completely apart its very easy to put the valve in upside down. remember the hole should face up, the depression should face down.
