That's mostly B vitamins, spread the doses and ingest them with a whole meal. I prefer to take nitrates alongside them as they have been shown to increase nutrient uptake.

Couldn't ever justify spending the kind of cash that designer multis cost. Not really a cost issue, but more of the fact that it's like 30 bucks for something that won't do anything for your physique. I look at it like an analogy for a car. Your protein and creatine is like putting an exhaust on your car, steroids are a huge ****ing turbo, and vitamins are like making sure the air pressure is just right in your tires.

Incorrect air pressure could cause an array of other problems. I don't buy Orange Triad because of the name, than again I don't buy it either, I use it because it has the "best" forms of vitamins, joint support, and digestive support.

That is honestly becoming a major problem in here. I understand everyone wants to get "Swole" and "Aesthetic", but disregarding general health isn't the correct way of doing that. I would rather spend my money on a Greens supplement than a Pre. If you have issues with energy at this age, you clearly have a larger underlying issue that should be addressed by a professional.

Idk about you but my joints are amazing and so is my GI tract. Not to mention joint supplements are bull****. I have a pretty balanced diet, albeit meat ad carb heavy, but I'd rather choose this than the normal American diet, and I don't think I need to supplement vitamins.

All of this **** is such garbage and it pains me to see people (not you since you said you don't buy it) spending boatloads of cash on this stuff. People are shelling out 100's of dollars for these supplements filled with "rare" african herbs that don't do ****.

Agreed, but thankfully I learned to research before consuming anything.

Joint supplements are far from bull****.

SPP - you clearly haven't used those gummy multivitamins. They'll change your world. Not your health too much, but your world.

Wasn't glucosamine found to be ineffective? MSM and Chondroitin are good though iirc.

Ari: For now everything is healthy. Cardio and general health are massively important in being fit.

There are conflicting studies on Glucosamine, Study A says Yes and Study B says No. So really coming to any conclusion on Glucosamine would be quite close minded.

Thoughts on Synephrine? Are the effects actually similar to Ephedrine?

So are you guys bio or chem majors? Girl next door was studying aminos for a bio test and was surprised at how many I knew...even more so when I said that I just learned them from reading supp labels. Do you guys (PM, Lurker specifically) study this stuff or is it just learned over time from lifting and dieting and picking up info?

Abstract

Arachidonic acid (AA) is the metabolic precursor to a diverse range of downstream bioactive lipid mediators. Individual eicosanoid species (e.g. prostaglandins, leukotrienes and HETEs) have been previously implicated to either positively or negatively influence skeletal muscle cell growth and development. The collective role of AA derived metabolites in physiological states of skeletal muscle growth/atrophy remains unclear. The present study aimed to determine the direct effect of free AA supplementation, and subsequent eicosanoid biosynthesis, on skeletal myocyte growth in-vitro. C2C12 (mouse) skeletal myocytes induced to differentiate with supplemental AA exhibited dose-dependent increases in the size, myonuclear content and protein accretion of developing myotubes, independent of changes in cell density or the rate/extent of myogenic differentiation. Non-selective (indomethacin) or COX-2 selective (NS-398) non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) blunted basal myogenesis, and this effect was amplified in the presence of supplemental free AA substrate. The stimulatory effects of AA persisted in pre-existing myotubes via a COX-2 dependent (NS-389 sensitive) pathway, specifically implicating dependency on downstream prostaglandin biosynthesis. AA stimulated growth was associated with markedly increased secretion of both PGF2α and PGE2, however incubation of myocytes with PG rich conditioned media failed to mimic the effects of direct AA supplementation. In-vitro AA supplementation stimulates PG release and skeletal muscle cell hypertrophy via a COX-2 dependent pathway.
