If that doesn't work out, show up on Friday when teams are walking the field. I have seen several events where a local gets picked up on Friday when teams show up short or are concerned about someone getting hurt. I would say your chances are good of getting on a line. Maybe have a sign or something that your looking for a line so people can tell at a glance that you are available.
