geo+ or geo 2?
Hey nation. Im looking at getting a geo. I have only shot ego's my whole life. I have a friend willing to sell me his geo+ with gst and gr2 for 500 bucks. I have found geo 2's for around 750 or 800 plus shipping and pp fees. So my question is, is the geo 2 that much better to warrant spending an extra 250 or 300 bucks for the geo2? Any insight you guys could give me would be great.

I like the geo2 better but i know thats personal. Opinion but they both shoot relly smooth i say just go with the geo2 because of the weight,i think there a lil more efficent than the geo+ (not much though), there exactly like the sl91s except they dont say sl91 and dont cost the 7k.

Yes, the Geo2 is a vast improvement from the regular geos. Just to be clear read this.
Geo - PE's first spool marker, eventually the GR2 Kit came as a free update to owners. Later down the line, the GST kit was available for purchase as an upgrade.
Geo+ - Same as the Geo (came with different colors) but it came stock with the GR2 (like newer geos) and the GST kit.
Geo2 - Redesign of the originals, the engine, looks very much like the old one with some changes, the rest of the gun was changed as well.
Geo 2.1 - Geo2 that included the 45* Reg swivel (due to a change in the PCV valve) and POPS ASA.
I wrote that just incase it might help you, but the Geo2 is definitely worth it. Although I do love the originals, they didnt quite shoot like something you would expect from a spool value gun, the GST did help with this though. The Geo2 on the other hand, is really something that really pushes spool valves to the next level. Its very smooth and quiet, not to mention it now has the nice big RGB screen board with E-Portal, the SL3 reg, Shaft 4 Barrel, and a number of other things here and there.
I have owned both, and I really do love the Geo2s, it really at this point in time is everything you would want in a spool valve. Both the Geo+ and Geo2 have about the same efficiency, although some people might say otherwise which I dont know why, but the bottom line on that is, there is no proof for that claim. The Geo2 is definitely a fun toy to shoot.

OLD FEEDBACK!
Why do people do this wanna-be hk thing? I mean hk people dont even play paintball, they just whine and start drama while wearing the weirdest stuff. Its amazing anyone embraces it.
Im putting the Hero back in Heroin.
I want your G6r parts and upgrades, sell them to me, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

Based on your situation, I'd go for the Geo+.

The geo plus will shoot very similar to the geo2. I feel the geo2 feels a lot better in the hands. If you are looking at pure performance the geo+ is a better value.

I have shot almost every gun made and I have to say:
Geo2>All
Geo+ is also a very good choice if you're on a budget. They shoot very similar.

Geo2 is probably best bang for buck with the new 2.1s in the market. You won't be disappointed in a Geo+ though. And IMO the Geo+ is the better looking older sister.

the ergonomics of the geo 2 a long make it worth it imo. It shoots great but is unbelievable comfortable and well balanced in the hands. I really like how they made the grip frame and the reg spaced farther apart

The Geo2 also has the tighter bore stock barrel; Shaft 4 barrel with longer back; sprung Prop to save air; the SL3 reg to maintain velocity down to lower input pressures, and to allow full velocity from an HP, MP or LP output tank; thick to thin Ego9 style grips; larger, replaceable LCD; new user interface; e-Portal compatibility.
