Pro-bolt?

Bolt upgraded was mentioned here: http://www.pblife.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=71%3Aintervie w-with-frank-connell-of-vanguard-usa.

When and where can we get it?

SELL? shouldt it be an upgraded part everyone should have "right" to?
since we payed for the marker in the first place and atleast those of us that have had big problems with the firing mechanism since day 1?

doesnt sounds like good marketing to make a product that works for lets say 50% of the time, then release a miracle upgrade for it to make the marker what it should have been from the begginig, and charge people for it?

can we get some kind of sneak preview or info on what the differences between this system and stock bolt will be?

is it a different can also or is it just the bolt?

I believe (unless it has changed) it stops FSDO and bolt stick.

Well, that was a springed bolt... not sure if the Pro Bolt is the same though.

I volunteer to help test new tech! I'm not a tech guru like some here but I know how to do research and troubleshooting - part of my job. And as a bonus if something works well for me then its officially idiot proof!

What will be the price on this, and which specific "issues" will it resolve?

From what I've gathered - nothing official - its going to work like the spring mod for the Lux. It will help prevent FSDO and bolt stick and let you lower your dwell to sick amounts which improves efficiency.

I don't think this bolt is intended as a fix for flaws in the current bolt - as the current bolt works just fine if you don't go nuts with your settings. It's a genuine upgrade to get more performance out of the marker.

No word on price but a complete drivetrain runs around $125. This might be cheaper if you only need a new bolt and bolt guide but again I have no idea what all they're planning.

Just excited this awesome marker is getting some love.

Hmm definitely interested! Haven't had any issues with my marker yet *knock on wood* but yet again I only used it once since I bought it used.

ok, if its just the bolt and that is just springmodded i already have one of those anyway, and the others on the team have solved their FSDO problems, now its just the shootdown left. and a new bolt wont solve that i guess

I'm in the same boat. Polishing and dwell/FSDO setting adjustments have fixed any FSDO or stick. Just the shootdown problem is left.

When you say shootdown - do you mean when you are shooting streams of paint, they aren't ball on ball?

Shoot-down means he's loosing velocity while ramping or shooting streams in semi. It's generally caused by a regulator not recharging the system fast enough.

Thought as much... not experienced this using my bottle with all 3 shims removed (450psi) and 1 shim in (550psi) using both ramping (PSP) and Semi uncapped.

I've tried 450, 550, and 850. Multiple tanks/regs. Reg relubed with several varieties of lube. Yes I checked the adjuster orings. This weekend I plan to try a couple other teammates' regs (inline reg, not tank reg)

Edit: Sorry for hijacking the bolt thread. I will keep an eye on the other shootdown troubleshooting thread for advice.

hmmm my team mate played a 54hr rolling scenario event last weekend. He only lubed his Demon up the night before play and went through 6 boxes of paint and didn't re-lube. He didn't complain about shoot down. But then again, it was semi only, 10bps - 250fps

Sounds like some of the stock regs just aren't outputting enough pressure for the gun at high rates of fire. Might need more or less dwell time to compensate. Or just run your reg a bit higher pressure than stock.
