Just moved to Houston

Just moved from Houston for work. I have been meaning to get back into the game for fun on weekends.

What are some good fields for Speedball? I one field (Urban warfare) relatively close to my place, but it seems more rec ball orientated. Any recommendations?

I prefer outdoor (playing in the Northeast in the winter makes weather no issue) but indoor is completely fine as well.

Combat Houston is a great field near the Galleria, its outdoors and its has a tourny scene and recball scene depending on what your looking for. Great airball field with tons of players out there every sunday

Thanks for the invitation. I am way out of practice so I'll try first to gather myself then get back into the more competitive scene.

Zone South is usually got a thick crowd but can be tough sometimes if you are a walk on.

I've been going to Zone North just because I'm rusty myself. Mosty woodsball but they got large turnouts also and more walkon friendly. However, its alot of rec players with a few speedballers. Great place to go to knock off the rust.

I guess I will try out Zone South this weekend. Try and get into a rotation on the airball field. I tried Combat Houston this Sunday but the place was completely empty at noontime A little disappointing

This last Sunday was VcK fun day up at Twisted. It could explain why there wasn't anybody at Combat Houston.

Fun Day is usually once a month at Twisted for a $10 cash entry and BYOP (although they do sell paint there too). It is easy to get into the rotations. You just line up behind home on either side. The next 5 in line go up and play. Repeat until the end of the day. They usually post the next date on the Twisted website or Facebook page. If you don't see it, you can always give the guys at ProEdge a call and they should know.

@ExoSpy - Makes sense. That is a good deal though, I will definitely try out Twisted PB's next Fun Day event.

I went to Zone South again on a Saturday, but the Airball field was not up that day. I guess if you are looking for Speedball Sunday is the day to go and there is a decent crowd.

The weather has been all over the place lately though. Luckily this weekend looks good so far. I am debating whether to try Combat Houston or Zone South on Sunday.

Combat definitely has an older crowd on certain sundays. It really is hit or miss though. I would check out the funday if you are ready to get into tourney style of play. We are usually out at Combat Houston or Legends just depends where the other teams are at that weekend.

Yeah I did. Didn't realize I'd be going up against so many VcK guys haha. But it was good fun.

I left early since my paint (leftovers in the closet) was utter crap and wouldn't fly straight. Definitely would have had a few more scores if I had paid for a higher grade. Was shooting a Black Axe with a Spire, red JT Flex, wearing the old old Paintball Junkies black/grey jersey with Dye pants.

Were you out there as well?
