Unhappy Demon not working right...

Okay, there are no leaks. I have verified this by re-lubricating everything. That's not the problems, however.

When I gas the Demon up, it pressurizes perfectly. The battery is at 100%. The OLED board turns on just fine. I have it on Semi 13 bps. When I have the marker aired up with the eyes ON with a ball in the breach and pull the trigger (you can hear it hit the micro switch), nothing happens. The bolt doesn't move and nothing else changes except for on the OLED board, it shows an "eye error" message. I have taken the eyes apart and have cleaned them and everything, checked the springs, etc., and am still getting this problem. The wiring to my solenoid is a little squished, but I don't think that would cause any problems. A solenoid is $100 so I'm SOL if that's the problem.

This is where it gets interesting... When I turn the eyes OFF, it still does not fire so I have no idea what to do at this point. I have no idea what the problem is. Any helps or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I sounds like the bolt isn't moving when fired - hence the appeared eyes issue. Did you put too much lube on it?
Is it deffo aired up ie you hear the air goes around the system?
If you degas it and take the drive trainout, does the bolt move ok?
When you say you hear it hit the microswitch - is that the solenoid clicking?
Have you got the HPR turned out about 2 threads?

Failing that, I am suspecting the solenoid - however they are quite robust, so unless it has been over pressurized it is rare it would just die.

There are a few things this could, have tried turning the micro switch screw in on the trigger to be sure.
What happens if de gassed and you put your finger in the breach without pulling the trigger? What symbol / error does it show then?

The wiring to the solenoid appears to be the problem. It is squished, but also I can see the inside metal portion with a magnify glass. Could have one of those cords cut. So is that the problem? The bolt is all good and it most definitely was aired up, believe me. I took the bolt out and it was sliding perfectly fine. Also, if it helps, I have not adjusted any HPR settings or any of the settings on the board for that matter, so it's highly unlikely that my gun was over-pressurized. I would most likely find torn o-rings if that was the case.

^ Here's a picture of the "broken" wiring.

I am pretty sure that looks like it has been damaged bud
I would probably bet it has broken the connection of that red wire

Looking at that nick and comparing it with my manifold setup, it looks like it was nicked on the air transfer tube.

Have you taken the marker apart before? Not trying to lay blame, but it looks to me it was snagged on that transfer tube so when it was all re-assembled, it crushed the red wire.

Like Jason said, check that the trigger screw that hits the micro switch is not keeping the switch engaged constantly, not allowing an actual trigger pull to register. That is a common error.

Do this test. Take the board out. Plug just the solenoid and battery into the board. Turn the board on, turn the eyes off, and now depress the microswitch and see if the solenoid clicks. You should be able to hear it and feel it. If the solenoid works, I'd suggest your contact point with the trigger screw is bad and the screw needs to be undone a bit.

If the solenoid does nothing, then your solenoid is bad because of that cut wire. Honestly though, a nick in the insulator should not make the thing stop working.

Thanks, Reaper. I'll test that out and will let you know ASAP. It appears that the metal threads inside the insulator may be cut as well, so that's almost guaranteed to be the problem. I agree with you on the micro switch screw, but if that was the case, the "eye error" message wouldn't pop up on the screen if it wasn't firing, right?

The eye error message is there to tell the user that there is in fact an error, unfortunately at the moment the board can't tell us exactly what error but it does make diagnosing the issue easier (not in this case lol)
We are working on a solution

I checked the micro switch screw and it was hitting the micro switch every time with no problem. I gassed up the gun. No leaks. Then when I shot the gun with a ball in the breach, it said eye error. When I turned the eyes off, it still wouldn't fire. So the solenoid is the problem?

Ian?
You just sent me some videos yes.
1st thing wind out the micro switch screw whilst gassed and powered up, counter clockwise at least 1 turn

Solenoid is now working. Still displays "eye error". Any thoughts?

Have you actually fired this with air, so the ball can leave the breach?
I think your problem is your seeing an eye issue because the board programming expects the bolt to cycle when the trigger is pressed
This is not happening so the programming states an error.

Backed the micro switch out, checked your settings, checked you hpr, weird, de gas and remove drivetrain the crank the gas open, just to make sure air is getting up into the solenoid and body, you should here a good flow of air. Least that rules out starvation of air

I have to go out for a while, do you have Skype? Perhaps we could get online a little later and try and diagnose this in real time ?
