HELP- Demon Bolt issue

I have an out of the box demon that doesn't cycle properly. The bolt seems pretty stiff so I'm just trying to lube it. The bolt it put together pretty securely. As in it's so tight I can't take it apart. Can someone please show pictures of how the bolt comes apart? I am twisting about as hard as I can and just want to make sure I'm applying pressure to the right places.

Thanks in advance.

Just put an allen in the back cap and wrap a towel around the flutes on the firing can. Unscrew them.

^^^ What he said.

BTW - My Demon runs far better with the bolt pieces together this tight and the back cap as tight as I can get it w/o stripping - usually 1/4 turn with allen key after going as far as I can by hand.

How does that work when the O-ring on the back cap creates the seal anyway? You don't want to damage the o-ring... and it being finger tight should be more than enough. Maybe apply a touch of lube to that 021 oring on the back cap?

I just hand tighten the drive train etc and it is fine.

If I don't do those two things my drivetrain/bolt loosens to the point where I start getting issues after 20 shots or so.

Also the allen key turn on the back cap probably isn't a 1/4 turn but how the heck do you judge something like 1/8 turn.

Take a 1/4 and half it

If your drive train is loosening after 20 shots, something is very wrong. I would check the various o-rings in both the back cap and also where the can screws onto the back cap as they shouldnt come off from shots...

It's probably not even 1/16 actually. It's almost just a nudge with the allen key.

I got it apart finally. It was still hard as **** though. I'm kinda convinced there was some kind of locktite on it.

Thanks

Should be no locktite on it - in fact, I don't think locktite is used anywhere on the marker

If you bought it second hand, it could have had loctite as some users have issues with those parts separating, and may be inclined to put loctite on the thread to prevent it. Do you see any blue or red residue?

Also, it could be somebody just super snugged them.
