DM12 Board Fires 2 Shots not 3
Occasionally while in PSP Ramp, my DM12 will shoot 2 shots and not 3. I have a brand new battery in it, and paint is not jamming (also does this with no air or paintballs w/ eyes off). Why does it keep doing this? I pull the trigger fast and it stays steady, but single pulls result in occasional 2 shots instead of 3.

Correct. DYE PSP Ramp (single trigger pull) is 2 shot. I love this. I feel like I've got WAY more control over the marker than any of my guns with the 3 shot. Try it, I'm sure you'll like it too.

please do not comment on here when your statistics are incorrect... your board is older and not a DM12 board. Please only comment when you have the DM12 board, as this question is specific to the DM12. The DM12 DOES NOT fire 2 shots in ramp every time. PSP Ramping is 3 round burst after achieving a minimum of 4bps trigger pulls. OCCASIONALLY the board causes the DM12 to ramp 2 burst once ever few shots, the rest are 3.

If you raise your BPS cap it'll go back to 3 shots, but I believe once you lower it past a certain point (13, IIRC) it goes to 2 shot bursts.

The dye manual does not list it as Psp 3-shot, only Psp mode.
As I recall Barber has it correct. The stock UL board code Dye uses is dependent on the sustained and max bps as it uses a filter to determine how many extra shots to add during your rate of fire. With the cap being at 12.5 max the filter doesn't allow a constant 3-shot on the stock boards; if at all with the cap set that low.
Dye could have changed that in the new coding so if you're concerned you have an issue, why not simply email or call up Dye and inquire?

ok so this year i will be playing CXBL in Canada and the RT5 rate of fire cap is 10.5. when i am in psp if i get it ramping then stop for half a second and then pull the trigger my gun only fires one shot. where as most other markers will fire 3 shots. is this because my ROF is so low?

Ittl go 2 shot to keep it under 12.5 bps. It will occasionally go to 3. It's still a constant 12.5 bps. Not really a big deal
