I have a friend/customer of mine that was in the service for some time. He always talked about wanting to do a SEABEE themed marker but could never decided what marker to do. We finally decided on a GTi a few months back and nailed down what we wanted it to look like when it was all said and done. I approached my friend Dillon at Bomber Anodizing (Check them out here
) and we got the process under way. After a few short weeks the marker came back ready to be put back together. I think the marker turned out great and the quality is top notch! Let me know what you guys think, my friend is super happy with it!
The original idea was to have a dust black to dust olive drab fade with a 3D SEABEE logo. Upon receiving the marker I was told that an acid wash might look better in lieu of a project he had for another customer. After seeing the results for that marker it was decided that the acid wash was exactly what we were after as it would result in a classic woodland type camo-esque appearance.
