it totally depends on what you want it for and how much you want to pay, just like with any other hopper gun.

You could go for a Delta or Zues G2. Most of those are pretty much the same. Performance is acceptable but not like the Tib8. Nothing wrong with a PGP. They are extremly durbale and reliable.
Or you can wait till Tippy comes out with theirs and then when all the Tippy fan boys sell their Tiberius pistols for cheap, you can get a good deal.

I've shot the Tac, Delta .68 and the Ariakon Overlord.
Tac obviously is really nice (personally I don't like the look and price)
The Overlord shoots well, Easy mag changes but Co2 can be a pain.
Delta- Looks bad-a$$ quick Co2 change Pain in the butt mag change if you don't practice.
I had a bit better accuracy wth the Delta. Replace the cup-seal with that of an Ariakon and the Delrin bolt from an Ariakon and you're golden. I qualified Marksmanship at 110 feet with mine for my team. Oh yeah. It's cheap =) about 70 on e-bay/nation

I just got my tpx and it shoots very nice. very acurate. plus it doesnt feel to bulky in (my) hands and the co2 is very easy to change. however if it aint empty it can be a pain to get out. also the fact that the pistol is mag-fed makes it easier to reload on the fly. plus it just looks mean.

Any tiberius will do the job. They are built solid, but you pay the price in cost and weight for them. The .43 pistols are great for outlaw games, a lot of fields don't allow them and the paint doesn't break easily. I just bought a TPX and I cannot give it enough praise. Its been as reliable as my old tac8 and almost half the wieght. Plus the mags are only $20 per pair...

I pondered converting my boys old Spyder Classic to a pistol. To get it to fit in a Home Depot Drill holster, re route the hose from the forestock to the ASA with a couple of 90 degree elbows and a longer hose.
Cut off the stock barrel, Install a Brass Eagle 20 round hopper, and attach a remote hose to the ASA. Instant $20 pistol!
If I have a gun go down on the field, I just use the classic as a backup marker if I can't field fix it. As I maintain my markers well, I rarely have a gun problem.
Saw no need to carry a pistol as a back up.
Now if you carry a 12 pound RPG as your primary weapon, you might want a pistol in a holster just to defend yourself.

I dont normally have any gun problems but on the rare occasion i do its always nice to know that you have that pistol as a back-up. I am also planing to just go dedicated pistol eventually because there is just a different style of play when you play with a pistol. I really love my tpx and cant say enough about it. Also when you play with a pistol you have not only a differnt gun but a whole different arsenal because in my experience pistols are intimidating. I was playing at a field I go to when I vacation in Myrtle Beach after I had just gotten my tpx and I surrendered 5 guys and didnt have any paint lol.
