Put a little piece of index card between the button on the board and the rubber button on the inside of the frame.

A better solution for this is to lightly sand the tip of the button on the board and then place a touch of epoxy on the end, allow to cure/dry and you should be good.

Also, if you're going to place paper instead, use a hole puncher and glue as many discs together as necessary rather than folding.
