I just joined SCCA and I was wondering if anyone on PBnation is a member? I highly doubt anyone is but it was worth a shot.

been in the national AutoX league now for 6 years.
started racing in Northern California with a 95 honda civic si, placed 3rd in my class in points that year, and 2nd place in the end of the year enduro.
raced that car and got faster and faster with every year till i couldnt go any faster. when from csp to dsp and then i changed my class to fsp when i bought a fox mustang raced that for a year.
now im racing a 69 Fairlane Fastback in OSP, while im building a 73 maverick for Street Mod

See I don't know how to build **** but I know people that do. I'm working my first event tomorrow and hopefully will find some nice people lol. One of my friends is best friends with David and Andrea Robertson of Robertson racing. When they competed we got to go down in there trailer and have lunch out front. Awesome people and awesome experience.

yea i know race one the same track as Mike Maier and Bill Kirtspatrick.
2 amazing cars and 2 amazing drivers. both have won mutlple national chamionships, i was building a car to take down maiers 66 mustang but then he spend 40k on a new engine and moved into a different class so i dont have much of a chance to been the lead suspension designer and family member of Maier Racing.
what kind of car are u racing?

Not racing atm, just corner working 
I want to start racing SO bad! Was thinking of starting in a stock miata class.

when I first started I races then worked, always how it came to be. But as a beginner it will be better and you will learn more by working at various stations to see how people take them. Also usually in the first 2 runs people are getting accustomed to the track and will usually take a passengers along. Check w some of the board members( the people putting on the event). They might know some people to help ya out. If u have a miata that might make things even easier there are normally a ton of miatas on the track, and eoad racing spec miata is one of the most competitive races that's affordable and help good drivers get noticed

Worked my first event today and yesterday, fun as hell! And I hope to start in at least a spec miata class. Is the spec miata class STS?

Not an Scca member but will be soon, but I run in the NASA series with an American iron fox mustang and run in an chump car endurance series and you will love this kind of racing, I grew up drag racing and then transformed into road racing, I build all my own race cars. It's just an awesome hobby
